Does your partner go to bed sometimes before you? If not make up an excuse to stay up later than them. Tell them you are staying up to watch the game or read. Then once they are asleep kick into gear and get some chores done and out of the way. Imagine your partners surprise when they away to a clean house or to the fact all the laundry is done. This will free you both up to maybe go to dinner or see a movie later in the day. Plus if you do some of the chores you partner does on a regular basis it will score you huge points in their eyes. It also just shows how much you care about your partner and your relationship.
