There is nothing fun about having a limited amount of money to live on. However, if the two of you are on a pretty tight budget don't think that entertainment is out of the question. There are many things to enjoy that don't cost anything and there are several you can enjoy for a very small amount.
Start by locating your local parks for trails and events they will be having. Next, you can always rent a movie for a couple of bucks and spice up your house to make it feel like a movie theater. Turn all the lights off and make some popcorn. Position your chairs as if your television was the big screen. To save even more, check out your local library. Most libraries now carry a huge selection of movies from comedies to documentaries.
Keep an eye on your local paper for fun things coming to town that are free. Festivals and fairs usually have a lot of free shows associated with them. For sports action you can check out your local high schools and colleges, many of those events are free or charge a very small fee.
The important thing is to understand you can find plenty to do that will fit in your budget even if your budget is zero.
