Your Inner Song

Feeling creative?  Feeling really happy?  Feeling down?  Grab a pen and paper and start writing.  Focus on a theme (your child, your love, love in general, joy in the world, poverty, etc.) and let the words flow out of you.  If you can play an instrument, perhaps you can write the music too.  If not, don’t worry.  This is just for you to let some of the things that are inside of you out.  You don’t need to share this with anyone – unless you want to of course.  Just let your inner self sing.

Cut Out The Soda

Did you ever think that soda could be affecting your relationship?  Well it does affect your health and your health will affect your relationship.  Cutting out soda from your diet can not only make you healthier but it can save you money also.  I understand how hard it is to cut our soda from our diets we have grown up drinking the stuff, it tastes good to us.  However it is expensive and that money could be used for other thing such as date nights, or new products for your home.  We could go into all the benefits of drinking water over soda but I think we all know them.  If water doesn't thrill you try some tea, tea can be a delicious alternative to soda.  Just look at ti this way for every soda you don't drink you are saving about 20 cents and that is low balling.  That starts adding up and could net you a nice little vacation each year and improve your health while you are avoiding it.

Honey, I Have a Headache

Recently, I was sitting at lunch with a group of my closest friends when one of the men said something like, “Women can multi-task. Right?” to the women. We responded with smiles and, “Yes, of course.” Then he asked, “Then why can’t they have sex and a headache at the same time?”

This certainly wasn’t where I thought the conversation was going in the beginning. I shared that my dear hubby likes to suggest to me that it will relieve my headache – if I have one. We further shared with my dear friend that it truly becomes a choice and depends on how bad the headache is.

I have thought further on this idea and now want to be more mindful the next time this happens to me. What do I have a headache from? Stress? Too many things on my agenda? Worried about others? Not taking time for me? Can love-making really relieve that particular headache by producing enough feel-good hormones and release enough stress? And, then there is the Divine connection that can occur during love-making – that can take away much suffering.

The point being – next time you just don’t feel like doing “it” consider why instead of just curling up under the blankets and going to sleep. You may be surprised by what comes to you.

Boooooooooo

Just wanting to wish everyone a safe and joyful Halloween.  Halloween means many different things to many different people.  It might just be a horror fest to some people while others view it as a removing our own personal demons from around us.  Which ever way you chose to celebrate it be safe and have fun.  After all accepting the differences in Halloween is a great way to open yourself up.

Feeling Sleepy?

It is important to listen to your body, but are you interpreting the messages correctly? This is a very deep subject, but for today I am just going to focus on feeling sleepy.

You may be sitting at your desk working away. You may be in a meeting. You may even be driving. Suddenly, you feel your eyelids drooping and you just want to doze off. It is quite possible that you truly need more sleep, but it may also be possible that your body is saying, “Hey! I need some activity please.” There are a few things to try other than giving in to sleep without really listening to see if your body is asking for something else.

Try some of these ideas:

1. Take a brisk 5-10 minute walk.

2. Stand up, stretch, and take at least 5 deep breaths. Take your time inhaling and exhaling.

3. Eat a small snack filled with protein – a handful of almonds or walnuts or a cup of yogurt.

4. Avoid the candy bars and sodas.

5. Drink water – even slight dehydration can make you feel tired.

6. Meditate – even if it is for only five minutes it can revitalize you.

7. Take a 10-15 minutes power nap.

8. Sit up straight – no slouching.

9. Play some upbeat music.

10. Light a citrus or peppermint candle or put on peppermint lotion.

Halloween Goodie Bag

Why should the kids be the only ones to get a loaded bag of goodies on Halloween.  Treat your partner to a goody bag of their own.  You can put in a bottle of your favorite wine, candles to create soft lighting, a coupon to your favorite place to eat, or what ever items your partner likes. You can even put their favorite candy inside, not there is an idea you don't hear about on Halloween :-)

You can even take it to the more intimate side by putting in items to have a sexy good time on Halloween.  Lubes like Sex Butter, amazing sexy clothing like Nookies Pleasure Sox, or other toys and games for adults.  Heck you can even leave the bag empty and tell your partner you picked up a great Halloween costume for them (Naked will get them lots of treats in your Halloween fun)

Halloween is coming do your have your costume ready for your relationship?

Joe Dirt might not be the best choice for sexy Halloween costume, but to each their own.
Halloween is coming and this is the best time to introduce a little role playing into your relationship.  Halloween is the best time for this because there are so many costumes available.  You can go to your local discount store and pick up wigs and items to transform you into a different looking person.  May a pact with your lover to pick out a costume for an intimate evening for the two of you.  This will bring new meaning to the words trick or treat for the two of you.  Be a sexy vampire, or man in uniform, you have many many things to choose from.  Make it fun, some couples really get into being a different person but if that is not your bag, then just make it fun and laugh the night away being sensual with your lover.  Halloween is not just for kids any more.

Feeling Good is the Start to a Wonderful Relationship

Healthy couples have an added benefit in their relationship.

When we speak about relationship issues we seldom think about our health as a prime importance to our relationship.  However just the opposite it true.  When we are healthy we benefit our relationship in many ways.   For starters we are able to enjoy things like walks with our lover, spontaneous adventures, and any function that might require us to be healthy to enjoy it.  Next we look and feel better about ourselves so we don't bring the self doubt into the relationship.  We can accept our lovers compliments and enjoy them for what they actually are, a compliment.  It is a fact that most healthy people are more interested in intimacy then unhealthy people.  Are you starting to see how your health is not only important for you but also your relationship.
