Mmmm...feeling thankful for the washer and dryer...apologetic to the clothes for leaving them in the washer yesterday and now having to rewash them. The dryer is oh so patiently waiting for me to move those clothes from the washer to its warm interior :) I put it on my list of things to do to.
Okay, one of my biggest things I need to change is drinking soda. We all know it is not good for us and yet we continue to drink it. You can team up with your partner to decrease the amount of soda you drink. Make a pact with each other to control the amount of soda you and your partner drink. Become the Soda Police and keep a tight eye on how much soda you consume. If you drink different kinds of soda, let the other person hide your soda. If you can find it, then you can have some. Of course, you can always ask for a can. At least when it is out of sight you will be less likely to drink it.
Set a limit to the number of sodas you can have a day and both of you stick to it. Find other items to drink while the soda police has your soda in custody. Water, juice (100% - no refined sugars added), and some teas are better options. Eventually, you will find yourself feeling better once you get over the hump of "needing" soda.
"Rather than being only a physical or mechanical experience making love with someone can extend into the spiritual depth that awakens when you merge with the soul of the other person." - Sirona Knight
Introducing a blindfold into your love live can be a wonderful experience. It will change your whole perspective on the most normal activities. A simple kiss changes as you are unable to see what is happening. You rely more on your sense of touch to enjoy the feeling. You can use the blindfold in many ways. Take turns blindfolding each other and feeding different foods to one another. See how different the tastes are when you cannot see them. Then put the blindfold on and massage each other focusing on the feeling instead of the visual might just let you enjoy the massage even more. Finally, bring the blindfold into your intimate play and enjoy the sensations that are created when you focus on your other senses during foreplay and while making love.
Okay - it is the weekend and many of you may be cleaning house. That boring old chore that few of us enjoy. Instead of drudging your way through it, make it an exciting event. Crank up some of your favorite songs and have a jam session as you mop and dust your way to tidiness. Your laundry will get done so much quicker and the dishes will be washed and put away before you know it.
Take it a step further and try one of the following:
Download only new music you have never heard before.
Download some of you old favorites you haven't listened to in a long time.
Get your partner and/or kids involved...everybody picks some music and sings along.
Combine this cleaning session with you workout and you will accomplish even more than expected!
Change things up....that is one of the great things in life. We can choose to change things and make them different.
No, this is not an actual holiday. However, today we are declaring it to be National Shower Together Day. When was the last time the two of you just jumped in the shower at the same time and enjoyed each other's naked bodies? This is not your normal shower. So, save it for the end of the day. You shouldn't feel rushed. The focus should be on just being together and enjoying each other. Be present and wet and let the troubles of the day wash down the drain. That my friends is what National Shower Together Day is all about.
I cannot tell you how valuable this clip is. The power of vulnerability is one of the things that I talk about often and teach others to understand. In fact, it is even one module within my Collaborate With Your Soul eBook. Therefore, Brene Brown's speech deeply reasonates with me. Take the time to watch it - it is worth it.
When is the last time you looked deep into your partner's eyes? The eyes can tell you so much. They can be full of passion or pain, but we seldom look deep into them. Today I want you to do something a little different. Sit across from your lover and for about 5 minutes just stare into each other's eyes. See what happens. Actually, I suggest looking directly into your partner's eyes at least once per day. It is hard to hide emotions when the focus is put upon the eyes. Try this exercise and see what you think, it is powerful for lovers.
When was the last time you nibbled on your partner? Where would your partner loved to be nibbled on? Sure we discourage biting in our toddlers, but it can be an exciting addition to your lovemaking. I am not talking Mike Tyson and biting the ear off, but a little teeth in your kisses can be as sexy as you can get. Try it tonight and bite your partner on the ear or bite his/her lip a little as you kiss. See what the reaction is. Usually it will start a little more physical lovemaking and who isn't up for that?
