The Vow

Wanna watch a very touching romantic movie?  This one will make you laugh and it will warm your heart.  Now, I am not saying it is hilarious, but I really like it.

It is based on a true story, which is really cool.  A young married couple are in a car accident.  The woman suffers a severe head injury, which causes amnesia.  When she comes out of her coma she thinks she is still engaged to someone else and doesn't know her husband at all.

Use An Apartment Locator

Okay here is a little tip for those of you that have a big move coming.  One of the hardest things to do is finding the right place to move into.  Well, if you are lucky enough to be moving to a bigger city, there are probably apartment (condo/townhouse/house) locating services in the area.  You just go in and tell them what you are looking for and they crunch their data and find the places that meet your needs.  So instead of you spending days or weeks searching for places in a half hour your apartment locator will have you headed to a location that not only meets your needs, but also has openings.  The best part is this service is free for you.  The locators are paid by the property owners for the help in finding tenants.  

Playing Taxi Driver

Okay, this isn't my truck :) but Stang Auto Tech IS fixing mine.

Have you ever had to play taxi driver for your spouse while your car is in the shop or vice versa?  Well, that is what we have been doing the past couple of days.  Oh, and dropping about $800 to get mine fixed. Ho hum....so, no car payment, but boy oh boy do I look forward to having a new car again with a warranty :)  This is just one of those things we go through together....playing taxi driver and dealing with unexpected expenses!

It isn't always pleasant, but it is all a journey.

The Naked Hug

Hugs are beautiful and warming, but as a couple when is the last time you experienced one totally naked?  Now I am not talking about one right before you enjoy a night of passionate intimacy.  I am talking about a hug just for hugs' sake.  Maybe it is in the morning before you both start to get ready for work or maybe you both just strip down and spend a few moments in each other's arms with nothing between the two of you -feeling just your skin touching each other.  

Make your naked hug last.  This hug allows your bodies to blend together and feel the warmth that forms between the two of you.  Sure it might get a little exciting for the both of you and you can act on that excitement if you wish, but don't take away from the hug.  Allow time for your hug to spread the love it was meant to, feel the parts of your partner's body that are normally covered and allow yourself to get caught up in the love between the two of you.

Daily Posts for The Couples' Spot

Some of you have been wondering why we didn't post every day in May.  Well, here is the scoop...

We moved from Indiana to Colorado the first of May and things have been a little crazy.  Now, that we are getting settled I, Janelle, am back to sharing in the posts with Rob.  We tend to switch off every other day.  So, I just wanted to let you know that we are back on schedule :)  On top of that I am starting a new blog as well, Reconnect With Your Soul.  It will also be a daily blog (though it may start as every other day).  So, feel free to check it out.  It may resonate with you, too.

I hope you will be excited to have daily posts again, and we are sorry that that didn't happen this past month.

Drag Out Some Old Photos

Today is a great day to drag out some old photos and put them out and about in your house.  You don't have to make it a major project.  Just grab a few out of the drawn and make a collage like the one about.  You could even get a board that would let you change the pictures often, then once a month swap out the pictures for new ones out of that drawer where they are stored.  You will be amazed at the way it will bring up great memories and get conversation rolling.

Sexy Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

There are so many people out there today with body image problems.  We are bombarded with images of bodies with not an ounce of body fat on them.  This can lead to some real problems in our relationships.  When we are in a relationship we want to share our body with our partner we want them to worship our nakedness.  But, when we don't measure up to the images on the magazines (Women's and Men's) sometimes we shy away from that attention.   We have to have the lights turned out and only then will we allow ourselves to be naked with our partner.

I once read an article about a famous sex educator that had this problem.  Even though she could get up in front of thousands of people and talk about the most intimate details about sex, she wouldn't allow her partner to see her naked.  Until one day she decided to give it a try.  What she found was while she was looking at all the parts of her body that she felt didn't measure up.  Her partner was looking and finding beauty in her body even in the places she thought were substandard and once he expressed that to her that self doubt went right out the window.

None of us are perfect even those models on the front of magazines are air brushed and angled just right to make them look better.  So why are you hiding in the dark?  Allow your partner to enjoy you nakedness and enjoy theirs.  Tonight make love with the lights on and see how sexy you really are!

The Family Blog

Today we have a wonderful way to keep all your family and friends up to date on what is going on in your life.  It is a Family Blog.  A blog is so easy to set up with a service such as Blogger.  All you have to do is pick a theme and start adding content.  You can post pictures of the kids functions, let all people know what is going on in your life and announce important dates and functions you are having yourself.  All you have to do is send the link to those that you want to keep informed.  You can even let all family members take turns posting.  Have your toddlers draw pictures and scan them so that all can enjoy their artwork.  Video your kids baseball game and let Grandma and Grandpa watch from their home miles away.  The possibilities are endless.  One word of caution however, know that others can find your page so keep things like your address and specific locations from being posted, just to be on the safe side.  

We have a great way to share information with all our family and friends.  No more do we have to invite people over to watch our boring home movies now we can send them to them so they can be bored in their own homes.  :-)
