Love First Aid Kit

Have you ever had the feeling that you need to put a band aid on your relationship.  Maybe one of you has been hurt in a way that makes you feel upset or just angry.  This isn't a relationship ending situation but one that might keep you at odds with each other for a little while.  When this happens it is a good idea to have a Love First Aid kit around.  Get some Band Aids and throw them in a box with a marker so you can draw a heart on the bandage when you have to use this kit.  Basically, what you do is when you feel upset with your partner pull out the box and put on a bandage with the heart drawn on it as a signal to your partner that you both need to do a little work.  Put other items in the box that the two of you might enjoy.  Inside, you could have your favorite movie, a bottle of your favorite wine, coupons to your favorite restaurant or anything that the two of you enjoy.  At this time, forget your issues and enjoy each other.  True, this doesn't solve the issue or problem, but it helps to show that your relationship is stronger than any problems that might arise.  Plus, getting into this state of enjoying your relationship might help open up the lines of communication so that you can talk about the issue and put it behind you.
