Monica's Hole in The Wall Cantina!!

Monica's Mex-Tex Cantina

Lucky Me, I stumbled across a true gem in the Dallas area.  Monica's Mex-Tex Cantina while it didn't look like much form the outside see the picture above.  But when you got in side wow what a atmosphere and the good and drink were amazing.  I even got to meet the owner and I highly recommend the place if your in the Dallas area.

I love finding little out of the way places that have so much personality and would love to hear from everyone out there about their favorite hole in the wall places in your area.  That way if I am in your neighborhood I can check it out.

Monica's opened originally in Deep Ellum in 1992. For 20 years Monica's brought a unique menu that was focused on fresh-innovated Mexican and Tex-Mex food. Locally and nationally recognized by many publications as one of Dallas favorite spots for great food and service at a reasonable price.
Monica Greene, is back to create a one of a kind destination in the Lamar Street Entertainment District .
Two blocks south of the Convention Center.
Our patios offer a great view of Downtown Dallas.
The "old" Cedars SocĂal name is now finally gone and the location has been revamped and finally offers not only the flavors of Modern Mexican cuisine but the traditional flavors of Tex-Mex in a mid-century modern decor. Urban and eclectic Monica's is for all Mex and Tex food lovers.
Tequila's, mezcals together with prohibition era drinks that fans of the southside spot have come to love are offered by more than capable mixologists.
