Fireworks, More Romantic Than Patriotic

Here in the United States the Fourth of July means fireworks in a patriotic display of pride.  However, fireworks have long been associated with more romantic endeavors.  I am sure many of you have been asked if you saw fireworks after your first kiss or when you first met your love.  Not that we actually see fireworks, but it is the same feeling we get from seeing amazing beauty of lights in the sky.  Fireworks are also a great activity to share with your love.  Spreading a blanket on the ground at night and snuggling up close as you watch the night come alive with displays of light.  I don't want to take away from the patriotic feel of the 4th of July here in the United States but I personally feel like love and passion are much deeper feelings than those of a patriotic nature.

How Far to Go in the Bathroom ?

266/365 Reading on the loo

Just how much of your bathroom experiences do the two of you share?

Do you urinate when your partner is in the room?  Do you go so far as to do the poo when he/she is in the room?  Do you talk to each other through the door?

Okay, so how long did it take before that happened (that is if you do)?

Does it take away from the romance?  Or does it make you more comfortable with each other?

Outhouse

So, if this happens to be your bathroom, you are more likely to have to share your poo experiences with your partner, friends, woodland creatures or whoever or whatever happens upon you.  But, I am willing to guess that if you are able to read this post then you most likely have an inside bathroom with indoor plumbing.  So, how would you answer some of the above posed questions?

A little privacy please,
Janelle ;)

The Wedding Ring

Engagement rings are often worn on the fourth finger of the left hand because the ancient Greeks maintained that that finger contains the vena amoris, or the “vein of love,” that runs straight to the heart. The first recorded wedding rings appear in ancient Egypt, with the circle representing eternity as well as powerful sun and moon deities.

These facts make it much more favorable to wear a wedding ring or engagement ring.  Many feel like the ring were signs of ownership, but these ancient facts show that that ring has a much deeper meaning and connection to the universe.

And the circle is considered sacred :)

Angry Birds Interrupts Sex

Not tonight, honey!  I am too tired from playing Angry Birds .

Ummm...maybe it is time to leave Angry Birds to the kids for a while.  They even have those really cute sheets for them.  But, seriously your "sleep" time with your love really needs to leave angry birds behind.

Remember Your Love

Sometimes it is hard to remember back to when you first started your relationship or got married.  If you are in a long term relationship, you most likely remember the start of your relationship, but it gets lost in all the daily events that go on.  This little post will help your love remember those times and will bring a smile to his/her face.

First of all, find a photo of the two of you when you got married or early in your relationship.  Scan that picture and without your partner knowing save it as the background on his/her computer screener iPhone/iPod/iPad.  Then the next time he/she uses that item a reminder of those days gone by will be right there.  You can do this little exercise as often as you like changing the picture so that you both can relive those happy days in your past and make plans on creating more of them.

National Sunglasses Day

Believe it or not today, June 27 is National Sunglasses Day.  So I am suggesting that you go down to your local shop and pick out a new pair of sunglasses for the both of you.  Make it an afternoon and try on as many pair as you can and be sure to get your partner's reaction.  Take turns trying to find the silliest pair you can find.  Make it a point to come away with a pair that you both feel good about and then go out and enjoy a grand sunny day together hand in hand with your new shades on.

House of Cards

Do you believe that relationships are like a house of cards?  With a gust of wind it can all get blow apart?

There are certainly a number of things that have an impact on relationships...Love, Money, Work, and Life in general...not to mention kids, extended family, past wounds, friends and a whole lot more.

Do you believe that you can build a strong enough foundation that your relationship can withstand a gust of wind or someone bumping into the table it is built on?

This is key if you believe differently than your partner.  So, ponder this and then pose the question to your beloved.

Wondering,
Janelle

Quick Tip : Neck Kiss

Here is a simple tip that works wonders.  Walk up to your partner tell them they have a beautiful neck and then brush their hair away from their neck and gently kiss them there and create a little romance.  This works wonders no matter if you're male or female and it might just get things steamed up for the rest of the night.

Divorce Fights Over the Pet Goldfish!

Okay this is just crazy!  Fighting over the pet goldfish or frying pan.  Really?  My question to you today is do you fight about such petty things in your current relationship.  Maybe it is not about who gets what, but who fed the goldfish or who scratched the frying pan.  Petty fights are not going to support your relationship.  They are not going to make either one of you feel loved!

And, for that matter fighting with an ex-partner is not going to help your current relationship either!

The divorcing couples at war over goldfish, smoked salmon… and even a FRYING PAN

When a couple divorce, protracted disputes involving the family home or car are usually to be expected.
Rows over who gets the goldfish, the frying pan, a packet of smoked salmon or even a jar of mustard, however, seem rather less necessary.

But these are among the apparently trivial items warring couples fight over, divorce lawyers have revealed.

The resulting disputes are so bitter that they end up inflating legal bills far beyond what it would cost to buy replacements, the lawyers said.

Among the most bizarre cases was the unnamed husband who took his emotional attachment to a favourite frying pan to ludicrous extremes.
