Do it together

The title of this post might make you think a bit. However your intimacy you can't help but do together. I am talking about doing as much as you can together. The little things that might seem simple but they take on a whole new approach when you do them together. Things like going to the store, yard work, or even wrapping christmas presents can be a romantic adventure if you let them. I know my partner and I pick a day and enjoy wrapping all our Christmas presents at one time. We shut the door turn on some music and talk as we cut and tape our way finished. We also enjoy spending time together doing the shopping as it gives us a chance to discuss what different kinds of foods we would like to try. The simplest things you can think of can be enhanced by doing them together. Whatever the task you do together just bring along some conversation, hold hands, and enjoy each other. It might seem a bit strange but this will make your relationship stronger.

Avoid the Excuse trap.

Excuses are our way out of things, they give us justifiable reasons not to do things. However some times we go to the excuse mill way to many times. Instead of stepping up we find an excuse to help us avoid the task. We can easily fall into the excuse trap and it is ever so true in a relationship. When we are dating we would use excuses to call the person we couldn't get off our minds. As our relationship progresses we use them to avoid things we don't want to deal with. Next time your partner asks you to do something, make it a point to avoid the excuses and say yes. They might ask you if you want to go out for the evening, and if they do don't recoil and think of why you don't want to. Think about the reasons to say yes. Life can pass us by pretty quickly and if you are constantly putting things off soon you will find yourself regretting all the things you made excuses for. So, take that hand in hand walk, go see that movie, take showers together, and make love into the late hours. This way when the day is done and you look back you won't be saying I wish I would have done that!!!!

Push each other to be healthier.

One of the greatest things you can do for you partner is to push them to be healthier. No body is with them more and sees the things that they do and eat more then you do. When you go out to eat the two of you can search the menu for healthy choices that fit your needs and desires. You are also there to push them to complete their exercise tasks. With this support form the person they love the most it is sure to be the encouragement they need to keep with this new regiment. With all that in mind, the best thing you can do is lead by example. Don't be the partner that says to not eat that piece of chocolate cake then later they find out you ate it. Be the strength in your relationship and be the rock in the healthy factor, also. Encourage them by telling them how much more sexy they look by doing the exercises and eating better. That type of encouragement will most likely get anyone off the couch and on the exercise bike. Heck make it a contest each week to see who can do the best then the winner can pick the movie you go see on date night, or the winners gets a new item of clothing. What ever the incentive, make sure that you are having fun with it and it gets your mind set on being healthier.
