Lean on me.

In a relationship we think of it all as push and shove. How we have to get what we want and our partner has to get what they want. There is no thought of balance between the two. Maybe if we work together we can both get what we want and keep a wonderful balance between the two. Say for instance you want to go play golf. Is it okay to go play when your partner trying to finish a project, where they have to deal with the kids and distractions while completing this task? Yet you want to play golf and it wouldn't be fair for you either to miss an enjoyment that you like? This is where we work together to get us both what we need. The simple solution would be to take care of the children and distractions so your partner could get their work done in a timely fashion. Then you would head out to the links, maybe a little later than you wanted but still in time to play. Now on the other side, knowing that your partner was itching to get out and play golf the other partner should work diligently on getting their stuff done. No talking on the phone to a friend during this time or creating distractions for yourself. Then you both get satisfied and your relationship becomes a wonderful place. Now instead of pushing and shoving against each other you are pushing and shoving in the same direction, thus more will get accomplished.

Self Help for couples.

If you like most people you have read several self help books in your life time. No matter if you wanted to increase your memory, get in better shape, or improve areas that you lack a little in. Well why not take a self help book and work on it together. What better support can you have then your partner. Walking through the ins and outs of what ever area you want to improve on together will also bring you closer together. If you want to improve your finances, you can find plenty of authors that will help the two of you. You can make action plans together and take it upon yourselves to push the other partner when they lag behind. Get in shape together, learn a new language, or improve your love life. Whatever you challenge might be go ahead and dive into it together. Learning never hurt anyone so even if the subject might not interest you as much as your partner still but the effort into making it a priority. If you would like to improve the intimacy in your relationship I would suggest picking up SEXY CHALLENGES from the authors of the couples spot to start out with.

Push each other to be healthier.

One of the greatest things you can do for you partner is to push them to be healthier. No body is with them more and sees the things that they do and eat more then you do. When you go out to eat the two of you can search the menu for healthy choices that fit your needs and desires. You are also there to push them to complete their exercise tasks. With this support form the person they love the most it is sure to be the encouragement they need to keep with this new regiment. With all that in mind, the best thing you can do is lead by example. Don't be the partner that says to not eat that piece of chocolate cake then later they find out you ate it. Be the strength in your relationship and be the rock in the healthy factor, also. Encourage them by telling them how much more sexy they look by doing the exercises and eating better. That type of encouragement will most likely get anyone off the couch and on the exercise bike. Heck make it a contest each week to see who can do the best then the winner can pick the movie you go see on date night, or the winners gets a new item of clothing. What ever the incentive, make sure that you are having fun with it and it gets your mind set on being healthier.

"A relationship without passion is like a sword without a handle" - Zob

The quote in the title of this post bears a lot of weight into how you should be thinking about your relationship. Way to often in life we become comfortable and forget to work at one of the most treasured thing in our life, our relationships. We put them to the side for later or move them to the back burner hoping to get around to them sooner or later. Well this is the wrong way to keep a relationship healthy and active. You should do just the opposite, and let me tell you why. Your relationship dictates all your actions, you might think this is crazy but when you really think about it you know that it is true. After watching the movie The Secret, I soon realized that the power starts with you and those that are immediately involved in your life. This passion, if you will is like a snow ball and gains as it rolls down hill, and without passion you are at the bottom of the hill. How much harder is it to push that enlarging snowball up the hill? Chew on that for a minute. Try it out the next time you get a chance and really put some wonderful effort into your relationship, from every angle. Be loving, be caring, be sexual and be attentive and see what happens. I think you will find that your relationship will grow like a flower that gets all it needs to blossom in the warm summer sun. I am curious to hear from our audience as to how they feel on the subject so drop me a line at thecouplesspot@gmail.com Look forward to your comments.
