Read something that inspires you.

Reading is one of the best things you can do. Not only for yourself but for your relationship, also. Once a month pick a book that either has something to do with an added area of your relationship or a self help type of book. Not that you have to follow the suggestions of the book word for word or make a complete lifestyle change. However I am sure you can find bits and pieces of the book that you might enjoy in your life. Things like tantric practices, building self esteem, ways to improve conversations, are great ideas when you are searching for books. If you are on a budget you can find older book in bargain bins or Amazon.com has lots of books that basically you purchase for a penny and just pay the shipping and handling on. Click on our amazon side bar and find a book that is just right for you. What I like about amazon is their search feature. Just type in a suggestion and you will soon have thousands of books to choose from. Your library is another option but in my dealings with our local library is that they tend to shy away from books about things having to do with sex, and or relationships issues. If you have lots of friends that read you can even start a book co-op where you all purchase a book then put it into the community for anyone to read after you finish it. By reading different things we keep our minds open to things the might really help our relationship down the line or at the current time. You can either read the book together or apart. If you are reading a book leave it out so that your partner can see what you are reading. This act alone will spark some conversations that might get you both thinking a little differently.

Couples Education

We tend to think of education as a individual thing. Where one of us goes off to learn something, maybe we talk about it later at some point. The basis is still on the individual. I however want to challenge you to learn something together. You don't have to go out and find an expensive class that you both have to take but find a subject that you both feel would improver your relationship and start doing some research. There are several ways to learn about things that do not really cost much at all. For starters once you pick your subject then you can find loads of information at your local library. Here is the amazing part if you get a library card they will let you take the book home for a couples of weeks!!!! So use your local library to learn. Another great way to find information on your subject is the internet it is easy and fast and is most likely in your home at the current time if not the amazing library usually has computers with internet access you can use for FREEEEEE. You might wonder what type of subject you can study as a couple and I laugh because all subjects can be studied as a couple. Here is just a few that pop into my head currently: Photography, Tantric Sex, Geocaching, exercise, nutrition, cooking, personal finance, investing, massage, baseball, ....
I could go on and on and on but I think you are getting the message. Pick something that the two of you will hold dear and be passionate about then watch how it improves all areas of your relationship.

Self Help for couples.

If you like most people you have read several self help books in your life time. No matter if you wanted to increase your memory, get in better shape, or improve areas that you lack a little in. Well why not take a self help book and work on it together. What better support can you have then your partner. Walking through the ins and outs of what ever area you want to improve on together will also bring you closer together. If you want to improve your finances, you can find plenty of authors that will help the two of you. You can make action plans together and take it upon yourselves to push the other partner when they lag behind. Get in shape together, learn a new language, or improve your love life. Whatever you challenge might be go ahead and dive into it together. Learning never hurt anyone so even if the subject might not interest you as much as your partner still but the effort into making it a priority. If you would like to improve the intimacy in your relationship I would suggest picking up SEXY CHALLENGES from the authors of the couples spot to start out with.

Sharing your dreams!

Now that you are a couple one thing you are going to have to share is your dreams. What ever your passion or desire in life you are going to have to share that with the person that is going to be with you the whole time. With all this comes great responsibility, as you must take just as much care with your partners dream as with your own. The last thing you want to do is squash something your partner feels passion for. Even if you feel that the dream is out of the question you need to still be an active figure in helping them. If you partner does have a passion that is very attainable then you need to be the rock to help them reach the level they need to reach that dream. Support, concern, and a helping hand can bring your bond so much closer as they achieve their dream. Do all you can to help out and become the team that all great relationships become. On the other side make sure to show appreciation for your partner when they help you in trying to reach your dreams. Don't take them for granted and always return their help with a heart felt gesture. Achieving your dreams are great but they are even more special with someone who loves you.
