Oh, My Aching Feet…I Wanna Foot Massage

You are on your feet all day.  Those boots weren't made for walking ;) or maybe it was those dress shoes.  Ugh.  You walk in the door and so wish that there was someone just waiting there with a foot bath and ready to massage your feet!

Well, if you can't have that, you can have the next best thing.  I remember a few years back when we borrowed an electric foot massager for a "spa day" that some of us created for our kids' school teachers.  I must admit I really enjoyed having it.  It was freaking awesome!  I am thinking maybe it is time to check out some new ones :)

Oh, here is an awesome idea.  Would you love to create a special evening for your sweetheart - one he/she will never forget?  How about getting a foot massager…there are so many different kinds (check out relaxingfoot.com to compare)…you could then light some candles, run a hot bath, offer a full body massage (after the initial foot massage), have food delivered, play some soft music or a favorite movie and make your lover feel super special. Do you wish your partner would do this for you?  Well, maybe you should share this post on your FB wall or his/hers?  :)  **Hint hint.

Off to relax,

Get the Video Camera Out...It Is Past Time!

One from the archives!

Photo from Creative Commons.
You know the one thing that seems to be missing from most relationships is video of the two of your together.  Usually one or the other of you is filming and the other one is in the video.  I think you should make it a point to set up the camera at least 4 or 5 times a year and film the two of you together.  You don't have to make a full length production of it - just film the two of you doing something together so that you have it to look back upon and remember how much your love has grown.  Plus it is fun to see at later dates how in love you were back then because it might just start a spark today.

From first dates to 50th wedding anniversaries, everyone wants to be swept off their feet and taken on a romantic date that will be remembered forever. Spending some thoughtful time with someone you are attracted to or in love with can be the most romantic thing in the world no matter what you are doing, and these romantic dates will open up opportunities to talk so that you can discover what you want in your partner.
Here are 10 romantic date ideas that are guaranteed to get you that good night kiss. Use these ideas for dating free of worry.
Picnic Outdoors
There are so many romantic dating sites outdoors, and this romantic date can be as elaborate as you want it to be. Hire a waiter to serve the two of you at a pre-scouted spot that you've prepared with a table, chairs, flowers and full dinner service. Have chilled champagne available and chocolate covered strawberries to eat for dessert while watching the sun set. Or simply grab take out from a favorite restaurant and eat on a blanket, snuggled close together with a couple beers. This date is great for everyone because it is completely customizable to every personality and view of romance.
Visit a museum
Museums are filled with history and beauty that can be very emotion provoking. Plus, the general quiet atmosphere of a museum will force the two of you to speak closely and in hushed tones which is very intimate and can get those physical sparks flying.
Plan a scavenger hunt
Scavenger hunts are full of fun and surprise, and they can be made specific to the two of you if you already have a history together. Write clues pertaining to inside jokes or previous dates and have a fun present waiting at the end or make the hunt lead to a romantic dinner location.
Campfire on the beach or under the stars
Snuggle up together under a blanket and roast marshmallows while watching for shooting stars on this romantic date. This time together will facilitate talking so that you can discover what you should know about the person you are dating. Your physical chemistry will also benefit as you sit close together in the dark. It's intimate and inexpensive; plus, what's more romantic than a night under the stars?
Watch the sunrise
This romantic date idea is perfect for the early risers. Pick a beautiful local spot that has a great view of the rising sun like a bridge or an overlook on a mountain, and bring pastries or bagels and freshly brewed coffee or creamy hot chocolate. This morning date opens up possibilities for being able to spend the rest of the day together.
Go to a drive-in
Drive-in movies are classically romantic. They are perfect for first dates or 100th dates because they give you something to do if you don't want to talk, but they also allow you the freedom of speaking to each other without bothering the people next to you.
Get dressed up and have drinks in a fancy hotel lobby
Many high end hotels have great restaurants and bars that are elegantly decorated or have a fun theme. Getting dressed up to have drinks in one of these lobby bars feels special and romantic because it's something that people rarely do.
Shop for ingredients and make dinner together
Go to the grocery store or a local farmer's market armed with a list or simply a sense of adventure and pick out ingredients for a romantic dinner. Then make dinner together before sharing a night in with low lights and burning candles. Cooking together is extremely romantic and it will most likely cause a few laughs.
Go whale watching
This romantic date takes a little prep work and scheduling, but being on the ocean together and catching a glimpse of these elegant sea creatures will make a memory that won't soon be forgotten.
Take a dance class
Every style of dance is being offered as a class now that you and your date can take together. Spice things up with Salsa or Tango lessons, or keep it classy with traditional ballroom techniques. Either way, it's an excuse to do something new and fun that will bring you physically and emotionally closer together.

Tickle Your Toes

We go through our daily lives far too often stuck in a concrete, paved lifestyle.  We often get so busy that we miss out on the chance to simply feel the soft earth massaging the bottoms of our feet and the grass tickling us between our toes.  Grab your lover...head outside (wherever you need to) and take off your shoes for a little stroll upon our Mother Earth.  You, your sweet and Earth deserve the attention!

Get busy. Get spiritual. Laugh your ass off!

Date Night Advice and Suggestions

Date Night Ideas For Married Couples

Expert Author Mary T James
Being in love isn't supposed to be hard work, but that doesn't mean that a marriage doesn't require some effort in order to make sure it works. A big part of this is ensuring that you keep that "spark" alive, and one of the most common ways of doing this is to make sure you put aside time every week/month for a date night.
The question is, what do you do on a date with someone you're married to?
The answer is: make the other person feel special, and there are lots of ways to do this. Here are some of favourite ideas for making a date with your partner go well.
1) Book a night at the theatre, not the cinema. It doesn't have to be something high brow - there are plenty of fun contemporary comedies or musicals that you would both enjoy.
2) Find a sport you can play together, such as badminton, or joining a running club.
3) Rent a DVD, and hole up under a blanket together.
4) Stay in, but both of you make an effort. So the man must shave, find a shirt, wear shoes and turn off the TV, and the woman puts on some new lingerie and dresses up. Then cook yourselves a romantic "restaurant" dinner at home. Yes, with candles. Make the effort, is the key with this one.
5) Agree on a small sum of money, and each of you must turn up with a gift for the other one. The small sum will make you both think hard about what is most suitable for your partner. The idea is to show that you really "know" them.
6) Flowers, just because. So that means bringing her flowers for no reason, other than it being a Friday, or bringing him flowers, because nobody ever buys men flowers.
7) Every so often, get the grandparents to take the kids, book into a hotel (even if you live nearby) and enjoy yourselves. Someone else can cook, clean and wash up for one night.
8) Haven't got a whole night? Find a local spa that you can both go to, so you can sit in a whirlpool together and maybe get a bit pampered.
The most important thing with a married date night, is to make the effort. Do put on some nice lingerie. Do spruce up and put on perfume. The same is true for men - get a new pair of boxer shorts. Get that hair cut.
Make yourself look nice for each other, because you'll feel better looking in the mirror and the act of preparation will get in the mood for your romantic evening together.
One last hint - get any conversations about work, the house, the kids, etc out of the way before you both start to get ready, so that your evening can really be about romance, and not about whether the phone bill has been paid.
We all tend to put on a few pounds when we get married, but that doesn't mean that you can't still find great underwear. Bigsmalls specialises in plus size lingerie and has done since 2006. It's one of the UK's leading retailers of underwear in Sizes 18-36.
There are plenty of exciting lines of outsize underwear that can spice up married life, from corsets to stockings.

Monday Morning Blues!

Monday's always seem to bring about the blues. Maybe it is back to work or the fact that the weekend is over, but Monday just gets a bum rap. In our relationships Monday is the day that is least likely to have anything special going on. Why don't we try to spice Monday up a little and get your week started right. Plan things for Monday that might make this day zoom by a little quicker. Maybe you start going out to dinner on Mondays. Monday would be a great date night because there wouldn't be as long of lines at the restaurants, the movies or other entertainment venues. That could give you something to look forward to on Mondays. Get up a little early and start your week out with a little morning sex to get the ball rolling. The excitement will make your day start out with a bang instead of a blah. Whatever your tastes you can dress your Mondays up a little thus making the week and your relationship start out on a better note.

Movie night!!!!

Make tonight movie night and surprise your lover with a wonderful movie, popcorn or their favorite snack. Pull the couch in front of the television. Turn the lights off in the room and snuggle down and watch your movie. Do it after the kids go to bed and you can even have a make out session. If you want a little more excitement rent an adult movie and see what happens on the couch while watching that. The point being is you don't have to go out and spend a lot of money to get some good quality alone time. Start today and make you life richer by using things that don't cost much like our in home movie theater idea.

Set up a date...In the shower.

We love being naked together and a natural place to do this is in the shower. Yet we are usually so stuck on getting ready for work or starting out day that we don't have time to enjoy a wonderful sexy shower with our partner. I suggest setting a date to take place in the shower. Take turns washing each other and just hugging as the water caresses your bodies. See how the water pools up on parts of your bodies as you hold each other. Kiss each others wet warm skin. Enjoy the solitude you as a couple have in this wonderful sensation we call a shower. Use this as foreplay for a night of great love making. You can also use it as a way of being close after love making. When ever you find time for it you will be happy you did. Go into the date shower with the mind set of getting out only when the water starts getting cold.

Make a favorites list.

A great thing to do for the two of you to avoid boredom is make a favorites list. Take out a sheet of paper or get your word program up on your computer and take turns picking the subject. Things like "Whats your favorite movie", "Whats your favorite food", and "Whats your favorite author or book" are a few to get you started. Start you list and keep it someplace safe and accessible. Now whenever boredom raises it's ugly head take the list out and add to it. Go back over the things you listed before and see if your favorites have changed. If you keep this up for a long time you might want to right down the date on each entry. That way you can make fun of the fact that 10 years ago your partners favorite song was by WHAM or that their favorite movie was Revenge of the Nerds. If you start a pretty extensive list you will have fun just reading the earlier entries and it will really get you thinking about your new entries. You might think about it for a while before you list leg warmers as your favorite article of clothing.

Great Date Idea: Night at the Museum.

In the effort to find a great date idea that doesn't break the bank, you just need to look for a little culture. Museums offer a great place to walking around holding and hands and conversing about the things you see. Sparking many different conversations and feelings based on the works at the museum. Now you might not like art and if that is the case there are a multitude of other museums that don't have anything to do with art. The football hall of fame had many many displays that will grab your attention. Plus there are several little obscure museums around that offer a look into very specific interests. Say for instance the Firefighters Museum or the Museum of Toy Trains whatever your tastes there is a museum out there for it. Don't live near a museum then you can always check out itunes and get a number of podcasts from the bigger museums on their recent exhibits. Then you could even snuggle down on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and visit the museum you wish. Some museums charge a fee but many of them only ask for donations, so check around and see what museum you might like to visit on your next date night.

Date nights a must for all long term relationships

One thing that you have to do when you are in a long term relationship is to continue to date each other. It might sound silly but the use of dates can keep your relationship fresh and exciting for many many years to come. Plan your dates well in advance so that you have time to find a baby sitter, or save for a night out for the two of you. Make sure you have specific things to do also as to not waste the night wondering what to do. Make your date night a specific time either each week or month. You can make it the 2nd Friday of each month or every thursday night it just depends on what fits your schedule. Make it a grand even and if you want to make if feel like a real date have one partner come knock on the door to pick you up. One last thing make sure you end each date with a make out session if it ends up with a little action in the bedroom is up to you.

Great Date Idea : Retro Concert

Here is a great date idea for the couple that has been together for a while. Keep your eyes on the concert scene around your area and watch for bands that were popular when you started dating. Then when they come to town doing a retro concert don't waste time and pick up tickets as soon as they go on sale. This will be a great date and a great way to remember all the fun times you had during the start of your relationship. Heck even dress the part bringing out the old time clothes if they still fit and try to recreate the things you use to do in your youth. Make it as fun as you can and invite other friends if they are still around to join the party. This is one of those ways you can really relive the past without having to build a time machine.

Great Date Place on a budget - The Library

You might not think that the Library is a great place for a date but think about it you have several thing at the library to help with all your dating needs. Your local library has a lot more than books if your is anything like ours. They have DVDs, books on CD, and periodicals. Now you are still probably scratching your head and wondering how the library can be a great place for a date. Well if you don't have much money to spend on a date the two of you can browse the movie section of your library, while they may not have all the current releases they are sure to have something that is romantic for the two of you to watch. Think of all the great old movies that you haven't seen in a while, most likely you can find these at your library. Next the two of you can do a little scavenger hunt by looking for information on something that the two of you would like to get into once your budget isn't so limited. Maybe you both want to try skydiving one day well you can start finding all kinds of books on the subject and begin doing research on the topic so that when your finances allow it you will be ready. Finally the two of you can look up items that can spice up your relationship, things like self-help books on ways to be a better lover, or erotic literature to read to each other. Throw in the hat when you want to avoid the "What do you want to do" blues

Okay it is time for the two of you to get out and have some alone time. You set down to decide where your date night will take you then you hear those dreaded words and make your cringe, "What do you want to do?" and the most typical response is "I don't know what do you want to do?" This can go on for hours, and when someone finally makes a suggestion the other person usually shoots it down. Well here is a fun and exciting way to take the "What do you want to do" out of your dating plans. Write down all the places you like to eat, activities you like to do, and even the odd things you do every once in a while. Then cut out each idea and throw them into a hat. Keep the hat in a safe place and now every time you get a chance to get out draw a piece for paper from the hat, presto that is what you are going to do. You can put anything into the hat and if you want to make a couple of hats up. One with places to eat and another for activities to do after you eat. Every time you think of a new place to go or something new to do throw it in the hat. The more ideas in the hat the less bored you will get. You can throw the idea back into the hat if you wish but I suggest keeping it out for the new time you draw. Now instead of saying "what do you want to do?" you will save all that time and be able to spend more of it enjoying each other.

Make a date out of picking out your own Christmas Tree

A great thing to do spending the day together is going out and picking out your own Christmas tree. Make sure you get to cut it down yourself, load it up on your car and take it home to decorate. The two of you (and kids if you have them) will have a great time tromping through the woods or Tree farm to find just the right tree to fit in your house. Don’t just pick the first one that looks good spend some time thinking about it plus this gives you wonder time to duck behind a tree for a quick kiss or two. Once you find the perfect tree cut it down and load it up on your car. Now you have more fun ahead as you get it home and start decorating it. Make it an event make some hot chocolate or maybe even a couple of drinks or a bottle of wine to enhance the event. Once you finally get done you will have the satisfaction of sitting down and watching the lights blink all over this wonderful symbol of not only Christmas but of your love and team work.

PIck a show and get into it together.

We all know that dating is important to us but have you ever set a date to watch a certain show each week? Try to find a show that you both enjoy and make a date to sit together and watch it each and every week. Any show will work from a version of CSI to house hunters on HGTV. Maybe it might be a sport for the two of you, say for instance you both a Red Sox fans then watching a game could be your forte. The idea of this is to get you in a regular routine of sitting down with each other with a common goal in mind. Not to mention this will bring you closer the more you get into the show. You might even find yourself discussing what might happen next in the show your conversing over the major issues of the show. As a couple you need to find things that you can do together as well as apart. Pick your shows and make it a date by adding snacks or drinks if you like and then snuggle down in your big chair and relax and watch together.
