Don't forget to set time aside for your love.

Do you have those days where you just collapse into bed? You have spent all day taking and running the kids around, working, doing laundry, etc, etc, etc. Yet the one thing you have forgotten is one of the most important things in your life. That is your relationship! You have spent all you energy doing the other things in life and now you have no time or energy for your relationship. This is when you have to dig deep and find the energy to give to your partner. They deserve it and you know it but it is hard when you are ready to just relax. I suggest that you start thinking about saving some energy through out the day to save for your partner. Think of yourself as having a battery and just sit down and store away some charge for your partner later. Your relationship will benefit greatly if you have time to converse under the stars or talk while laying in bed, or even have a little physical encounter that lets you both sleep with a smile on your face. Don't wait until it is convenient for put time into your relationship you need to do it every single day. Take 15 minutes or so and just sit and store some of your energy up and tell yourself, "That is for my relationship later"

Do chores together.

Want to spend more time together and less time doing chores? Make them a thing to do together. Spend time talking while washing dishes or chatting while you sort the clothes. Not only will you spend your time together the chores will get done a lot faster. Apply this technique to all your chores and soon you will not only be getting them done in record time. You will be becoming better friends in the process. Now you have more time for more romance and love time. This is a win win win situation for the two of you.

Love blooms beautiful when the seeds are planet right.

Love is the most beautiful thing on the face of the earth. However some people tend to take it for granted and soon weeds are growing in your bed of love. This can happen quietly over time and can disrupt your wonderful garden that at one time you were so attentive with. Now is the time to replant those seeds of love. Start doing little things that you did during the early stages of building your relationship. Open doors, get excited when your partner gets home from work, meet them with a kiss instead of bills or chores they need to get done and show them they are important. These simple little seeds as I call them are ways to improve and let your love take root again. Hold their hand at church, or just come up behind them and hug them are simple things that can stir feelings that might have gotten lost in the weeds. Give time to your relationship each day and make sure to devote yourself to doing this. Be with your love for a set amount of time taking care of things like, conversations, touching, expressing you love, intimacy, and just being present with each other. Don't allow outside influences to disrupt this time and soon your garden of love will start to flourish again. When in doubt of what to do think about what a real garden needs, sunlight and water. Go sit in the sun and enjoy each others company while conversing over a cool drink. Get near water go to a lake, take a picnic, or better yet take a shower together with the only purpose being to be naked and close to each other as you talk. Attending to your relationship like you would with your garden is a wonderful way to bring back that loving feeling.

The Long Hello

Yesterday I spent about 12 hours total traveling to meet up with my wonderful wife. The day started at 4am and I finally met up with my wife later in the day. The wonderful thing about that was the long hello we gave each other. Kisses, and long passionate hugs as we caught up on the week we had just spent without each other. Sure there were telephone calls but nothing replaces that physical touch after being apart. These first kisses and hugs are a little more special than your normal ones as they let the missing of each other flow between you. There is nothing like the euphoric feeling that you get when you get the love of your life back in your arms after time spent apart.

Have you been neglecting your partner?

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we are personally doing that we forget about the person that means so much to us. We run out of time to enjoy his/her company or we are just to tired, once we get all the things done for ourselves. While he/she tries to understand they just don't get it and although we want to have that time we are just to drained. When this happens it is your responsibility to make it up to your partner. Sure it is not a requirement, but if you love that person you really need to go out of your way to show them. The words, "I Love You" don't hold a lot of merit if the actions don't mirror them. So, when you notice that you are blowing your partner off a little it is time to spring into action. Set up something special for them. A candle light dinner, a night on the town, or just a romantic intimate evening at home. Believe me your partner understands that you sometimes get worn out and don't have the energy for your relationship. That doesn't mean you shouldn't make it up to them take some time to put as much effort into your relationship as you do everything else. You will soon find that the return on that investment of time is worth much more than anything else you are doing. Love can conquer all you just have to give it a chance.

Push stuff you need to do alone until later.

One thing I think can benefit any relationship is taking time to be together during the evening. Don't spend your time tinkering in the garage or reading a book in the other room. Make it a point to spend good quality time together. Do your reading or tinkering after you have spent some quality time with each other. I suggest setting time right before bed for you to do your other interest of if your like me do it after my partner has gone to bed. The downfall of many relationships is when we stop enjoying being together. Growing apart while still in the same household is more common than you think. Snuggle down in a chair to watch something, play a game, get a great conversation started anything that will get you close and talking is a relationship builder. The important thing is you are spending quality time together and take the time to listen to what is going on in his/her life outside the house. You will find that he/she is still as interesting as when you were dating and you spent all your time focused on each other.

Are you putting enough time into your relationship????

Life is busy, with work, activities, commitments, children, and so many other things we sometimes take time away from the relationships that are most important in our life. Our partner and our children sometimes get the short end of the stick. Has this ever happened to you, crawling in bed your realize that it has been a week since you and your partner have made love or that you didn't even get to see the kids today. We can't go out and quite our jobs or forget about all the wonderful commitments we have but our relationships deserve so much more. We need to find balance in our life. We need to have an hour or more with out partner a night, finding time to enjoy them on a personal and physical level not only in important to them but to us also. If passion is missing in your bedroom then it will be missing in all other areas of your life. If friendship is missing your philanthropy will suffer. All our happiness starts with the love we have at home. Think about all the great things your partner does are you letting them know that you are grateful for those things or do you feel like they are expected to do them? If your life isn't perfect, you don't like your job, or you just seem stressed all the time then you need to do this. Put stock in your relationship, you will be amazed at how much a couple of hours a day can change your outlook not to mention your partners. In almost all relationship one partner or both feel unappreciated, do you want the person that you love the most to feel that way???

Love can heal.

Love is one of the most powerful things in our lives. It gives us strength and power to do things we never thought we would be able, too. Yet we constantly doubt it's power. I have recently be studying Huna, which is a way of living the Hawaiian culture teaches, and it has shown me even more how important love is to our daily life. Love is the feeling that someone is there to catch you and make you feel better. Which leads me to or subject for today. Love, can it heal? We know it is a wonderful feeling but can it make your health better? Yes is the answer. Studies show that people who claim to be in love actually live longer than those that don't. Love is a great reliever of stress, and you have someone to vent your anger with. Now your stress level is lower. We can see the long terms of love quite easily, together we are stronger. How about a quick healing can love cure illnesses right away. Is there the power to cure cancer or heat problems in our love? I say that if you truly believe so with out a doubt that yes love can heal those challenges. The problems lies in that we are taught that this doesn't work. We fall into societies ignorance that you don't need love and that love is an desire not a need. Well my friends I don't know about you but love is more than a desire to me. It roots deep in my soul and I can feel it's power. Now trying to find a way to use that love power to heal the ill is another challenge. For starters that person has to believe in the power to or their body will reject your love like it rejects or tries to fight off viruses. I like to think of love like water let it flow through both of you and cleanse the challenged area diluting and disputing the challengers hold on the ill persons body. Hold each other and imagine water rushing though both of your bodies let the passion you hold for each other take over and speak no words. I am not knocking modern medicine and I feel it is also very powerful but I think for someone to truly get well they need this love cleanse to coarse through their body. Now we all know that we cannot live forever that is not an option but to extend the time you are together to love each other, now that my friends is a miracle. Each and every extra minute you can get is a blessing, just ask someone that has lost a love.

If you feel like making love, then make love.

Don't deny the feelings that you body is telling you. If you body tells you it is time to make love to your partner then do it. Don't wait for a better time, and unless it is not appropriate then satisfy you desires. When you wait for the perfect time you can never get everything in line and you will just keep waiting and waiting. Now is the time, if you body is feeling it then act on those feelings. Maybe you in the middle of watching a movie at home or you just are amazed at how beautiful you partner looks across the room. Grab them by the hand and lead them away to an amazing wonderful time. Believe me your body knows what you need and there is no better time to act then when it tells you to.

Do you really listen?

When you partner begins to talk about what they are interested in do you really listen? Are you interested in what they are saying and if not are you courteous enough to be interested in them? We have this flaw in our make up that only wants us to be interested in what WE are interested in. While our partner is talking about something they are passionate about we are in our mind wondering what time the game comes on, or how much work we have to do later. We don't really give them the courtesy of listening and trying to enjoy what they are diving into. Listen to your conversations and see if you quickly change the subject as your partner is discussing their topic. Here is a trick I have learned to try and get more involved in what my partner is speaking about. After you partner tells you about something that is of interest to them, ask a question about it. It doesn't have to be a in depth question but it does need to be one that seeks more understanding. Start making it a point to question you partner and get them to give you a little more information before you start talking about your interests. Doing this will not only show your partner that you care but it might just get you a little more understanding as to why they care.

Lust in a relationship

Once you have an established relationship can there still be lust for each other. You bet there can be. The definition of lust is a intense sexual desire or appetite. Now who wouldn't want that in their relationship. We seem to think of lust as something we have at the beginning phases of a relationship or when we can't have the person we want. Yet lust can make our long term relationships so much better if we just look at the definition. I can't understand why people want their relationship to take on different meaning once it is established. It's like so many people want a roommate or the financial help that relationships bring but they don't wan the basis of what relationships are about. Companionship, love, passion, romance, sex, and lust should never wain in your relationship. If they start to it is your responsibility to direct your attention back to them. I think the big thing is we have to get out of the mold that relationships have to get boring with time! If you look at some truly loving couples that have been together for a long period of time you will find that they put all these things to the front of their relationship. Because as I always say if you put them at the end of your relationship that is where you will soon be "At the end of your relationship"

Give the gift of time!

There is one thing that you can give our partner that is the most valuable gift ever. That is the gift of time. This can be given in many different ways. You can give them time to themselves, to read, or relax or just do whatever they want to do. You can also give them the gift of your time, taking time out of your schedule to spend quality time with them. Take a day off work to enjoy it with them or to take them someplace special. You can never go wrong giving the gift of time no matte how you do it. Maybe you agree to watch the children while they exercises or take them away so they can have a totally quite house to do whatever they want. Again this is the most valuable item you can distribute to them and maybe you would like this gift also at times. Don't be afraid to ask for it. Tell them you would like them to schedule you in some time or that you really need to get something accomplished and need some alone time. If your partner truly loves you they will understand the gift will be given.

Tuck em in!

It may sound a little silly but you need to tuck in your partner if they are the first one to go to bed. I know in my relationship my partner enjoys going to bed much earlier than I do. I enjoy staying up til the wee hours of the morning. My partner has tried this with me but it is just not to their liking. I have tried going to bed at the same time as my partner and it disrupts my whole day and night. In an effort to compromise each night that I am home, when my partner heads off to bed. I follow in like I am going to sleep with them I get in bed and spend at least 15 minutes with them as they fall asleep. This might seem a little strange but it gives us the bond at night time I hate to call it tucking them in but that is what is seems like. It is just that little security that comes from falling asleep with your partner. Once I feel like my partner is comfortable I quietly slip out of the room and continue my night. Spending those 15 minutes together in the peace of the night has made a wonderful routine for our relationship. Try it if you don't have matching sleeping styles it just might be what your relationship needs.

Change your time for Sex!

Do you always have sex at the same time? Are you bedtime people and that is the only time that you will make love? Well I want to suggest making a time change. Try making love at a different time of the day then normal. I like to call it vacation sex. Breaking out of your routine might make your love making a little more exciting. Plus by being open to different times you allow yourself to avoid issues that might keep you from having sex all together. When the kids are at school is a time that is seldom used for sex, but allows you the freedom of not being interrupted or having to wait for the older kids to go to bed. Also you don't have to worry about being tired or the differences in your sleeping schedules.

Morning sex is the best for some people it gives them a great start to their day. It's like getting up and doing your exercises before you shower. I would suggest this to anyone that likes to got to bed really early. The only problem with morning sex is the death breath you collect during the night but that can easily be cured with a trip to the bathroom or now they have the little portable toothbrushes that you could sit right on your headboard.

I don't care when you enjoy having your sex, night time, afternoon, morning they are all wonderful times that have their own unique positive qualities. What I want to say is don't put off having sex if the time you enjoy is not available for some reason then pretend your on vacation and have vacation sex anytime you can find.

Watching the world go by.

Have you every just taken the time to sit and watch the world go by? Take an afternoon and you and your partner go sit on a bench somewhere in public. Watch the people hurry and scurry by and see how differently everyone goes about their business. Pick out people you think are late or have no idea where they are going. Make up fun and interesting stories about the people and where they are going or what they are doing. Sit back and relax and enjoy the rushing world all around you. Spend as much time in this slowed down pace as you can and when you have to leave get up slowly and casually stroll away. People watching can be fun and a great way to pass the time plus it gets you knowing how your partner thinks.

Recharge your relationship!

Daily events such as work, shores, school, children take a drastic effect on the relationship of couples. These events can suck your energy out of you without you even knowing. Soon you find yourself at home where you can finally relax and you just want to plop down and do nothing. Then you realize that you haven't even seen your partner yet, how are you going to find any energy to share with them. Well if that is how you feel then I am here to tell you that you are looking at it all wrong. Think about it how do you feel when you have a really good day with your partner? I am sure that you feel wonderful, if you are like me you feel on top of the world. Maybe just maybe you relationship can be a recharging thing in your life. It isn't that secret that being in love has great effect on your mental well being, and sex is wonderful for your health and mind. Hummmm lets think now maybe all these trials of the day could be combated by being in love????? If you start viewing your relationship as a way to reconnect to love, and knowing that love is a supercharger for life, then why would you put off your relationship with the person you love. I think if you put the personal commitment into this thinking you will find that you will have more energy for the next day. Sure this will not take away any of those daily tasks but you will sure be a little happier doing them knowing that your lover is at home waiting to recharge your batteries.

Take advantage of time apart.

There are times when you and your partner will have to spend some nights apart. Be it work, children commitments, or just functions they are attending you will have to break apart. This might not be hard for some couples. However, some people have trouble sleeping when their partner is not in bed with them, or they seem lost and don't know what to do for sure. If you are one of these people that your life revolves around your relationship then you need to prepare for nights apart. Save things you need to get done for you times apart, rent movies you have wanted to watch that your partner might not enjoy, catch up with some old friends, anything you can think of to keep your mind off the time. By doing this you will soon find that the time has passed and you are ready for bed. Another thing you might do is stay up later than normal so that you are really tired when you got to bed. This way you don't lay in bed and think about that special person that is not beside you. Remember the time will pass and use it to your advantage. Get things done so that you have time with your partner when they return. Clean the house if you have nothing else to do that will occupy a lot of time.

Exercise, eating right, .....

We put so much time working out, trying to eat right and protecting our bodies. How much time do you put in protecting your relationship? Do you read new books on improving your relationship do you watch videos that promote building your relationship? Why not? We understand that everything we want in life we have to work for. Our house, our car, a lean body, good health but yet we just expect our relationships to fall into place. Not only do we expect them to fall into place but we also expect them to be wonderful and great. Well if you just sat around on the couch wanting to get in better shape, would it happen? No, you have to work at it, so just like with exercise stop procrastinating and get your butt up and start working on your relationship. Pick up some books, read articles, search the internet for anything that will put more value in your relationship. Just like with exercising your body you don't get results fast but over time you will gradually start seeing improvement in your relationship and you partner will also.

The Best thing to build a better Relationship.

The single most important thing that I have found that is a common occurrence for couples that have great relationships is that they have fun together. Simply put the simple act of having fun is the best relationship builder. It makes you desire to be together. Far to many times as people are together longer periods of time they just end up going through the motions. They forget having fun together was an important part of deciding to be a couple. As time moves along we get caught up in the daily activities and paying bills together instead of taking some time everyday to do something fun together. If we make a conscious effort to enjoy each others company we start to build and crave that again. Set an hour a day to have to something you both enjoy be it taking a walk or being silly. Once you start having fun together again all the other problems in your relationship will start to fall into place.

Finding your passions

In life we all want to follow our passions but what about in our relationships? Can we have passions within the safety of our relationship. Can we desire something and still give time and care to our relationship. Well of coarse we can, anyone that would expect you to give up your passions is not worried about your overall well being. Encourage your partner to strive for their goals and dreams this in itself will bring the two of your closer. Think of the joy in your partners face as they achieve their goals, now that is what true love is all about.
