Study something romantic.

When we get away from our norm we can expand our thinking and your way of life. That is why I suggest picking up reading from time to time to learn about different ways of live. I suggest something from another culture that has to do with spirituality or love. For some that might be the Karma Sutra, or Tantric things while others might look for something a little less sexual. Maybe you want to understand why other cultures worship or hold sacred things like cattle or temples. Find out what turns you on (in reading that is) and study it, try to get a understanding of the subject. You don't have to change your feelings or beliefs but a little understanding goes a long way.

Right now I am learning and reading about Huna which is using knowledge from the Hawaiian culture to benefit your existence. I have picked up several interesting bits of knowledge and am becoming fascinated with the subject. To me it is eerie at how close it is to the Law of Attraction or The Secret for the more modern term. Hawaii was pretty much alone and had no influence from the outside world for a long time. To me Huna fells pure and natural and focuses on the moment your are in. There is no looking back or worry about the future you only control your present. Sorry I am beginning to ramble but you get my point and you can see how important learning can be plus it is something fun to share with your partner when you run out of things to talk about.

My partner and I have several long and great conversations about things we study. I can honestly say that I don't want to ever stop learning or conversing with my partner.

Here is the book I am currently reading check it out!!

Sometimes you just have to let them sleep.

Our bedrooms are used mainly only for a couple of things. Sleeping is one of those things. We all have different sleeping patterns we discussed this in a post a couple of days ago about tucking your partner in. Well sometimes our partners are not ready to get up at the same time as we are. Maybe we went to bed earlier or we are just an early riser. If you are that early bird, here is a great chance for you to show how much you care about your love. Instead of snuggling up with them as you wake up and more or less waking them up, do the opposite. Slowly and quietly slip out of bed and let them sleep a while longer. I am sure you can find plenty to do while they finish getting the rest they require. You could exercise, read, write on you blog, or even put great smells in the air by starting some breakfast. Your partner will most likely be so glad to get that little extra slumber that they will search you out and give you a big hug, when they find you. Hugs are never a bad thing, unless it's a bear hug from a wild bear.

Keep your relationship strong and healthy.

Exercise, eating right, .....

We put so much time working out, trying to eat right and protecting our bodies. How much time do you put in protecting your relationship? Do you read new books on improving your relationship do you watch videos that promote building your relationship? Why not? We understand that everything we want in life we have to work for. Our house, our car, a lean body, good health but yet we just expect our relationships to fall into place. Not only do we expect them to fall into place but we also expect them to be wonderful and great. Well if you just sat around on the couch wanting to get in better shape, would it happen? No, you have to work at it, so just like with exercise stop procrastinating and get your butt up and start working on your relationship. Pick up some books, read articles, search the internet for anything that will put more value in your relationship. Just like with exercising your body you don't get results fast but over time you will gradually start seeing improvement in your relationship and you partner will also.

Be prepared for Valentine's Day next year.

Here is a wonderful idea, the only downfall to it is that you have to wait until next year at Valentine's Day to enjoy it. Basically all you do is start writing down all the sweet and wonderful things your partner does for you in a journal. You do this day in and day out for an entire year, then next year at Valentine's Day you present this journal to your partner with a card attached that says here are some of the reasons this past year that you made me feel special. Now you can't just have one or two things written down in this journal. Make it a point to fill the journal up. Your partner will have a great time reading through the little notes on things that they did the past year to make you feel special. In fact, by writing these things down you to will gain more appreciation for your partner and all they do for you. Have a great Valentine's Day tomorrow and show you love how important they are to you.

Blog about your feelings.

Need a great way to communicate your feelings towards the other person in your relationship? Why not blog your feelings! With the ease of use of today's blogging tools such as Blogger.com you can easily put up and take down a blog for the two of you. Both of you start a diary type of blog that tells how things made you feel and topics that might need to be discused but are a little hard to get flowing from the start. Then only give your blog address to your partner and make sure they only give you theirs. Then once a day you can read each others post and see how and why your partner is feeling the way they are. Again you can use it to make suggestions to your partner or even just a fun little communication tool for the two of your to use. I would suggest deleting post after you know your partner has read them just to be on the safe side you never know when someone might just stumble upon your blog by accident. Today's relationships are different then in the past but in my opnion they have the ability to be a lot better, because of technology.

Write poems for each other.

We all view poetry as being romantic, however most of us think we are really bad at writing it. Well within your relationship you don't have to be a world renown writer of poetry. Put some humor into it and make it personal. Heck you can even make it sexy. The point is to make your partner feel good and if you make them laugh you get an added bonus. If you want to write a mushy poem for your lover that is good too but don't think you have to be perfect on each line for it to be important to you lover. If you are too timid to write your own poem then read a great poem from an author you enjoy to your partner. Some couples enjoy reading erotic poetry to each other as a form of foreplay. What ever way you can do it put some poetry into your relationship. Romance and poetry go hand it hand. Below is an example of a silly poem that just might get your partner laughing a little.

Sweetheart I love you from the bottom of my heart.
Because you love me even if I fart.
I love to kiss your pretty lips
and I adore the way you move your hips
Sometimes I find myself daydreaming of your beauty
and sometimes I just want to squeeze your booty.

Get a book to read at the same time!

I got a great idea from a friend of mine the other day. She told me that her and her husband had gotten the book "His Needs, Her Needs." They were reading it together at night as they lay in bed together, they would take turns reading to each other. I thought what a great idea, so that weekend my wife and I went to a near by bookstore and spent about an hour scouring the relationship aisle. We both picked a book that was meant to improve relationships. We also found a couple of question books that were titled "Do you know your husband" and "Do you know your wife." They were just simple question you filled out about your spouse noting things like what their favorite color is or what their favorite toy was as a child. I must tell you that this is very addictive. We said we were only going to do one page a night but we usually end up doing three. My only fear of this is we are going through the question book to fast and it will be done soon. So if anyone knows of any other question books like this please let me know.

These books have increased our communication tremendously. We spend the first part of the night reading our own book (we will switch when we finish) then we spend about 15 minutes saying did you know... The we fill out our questions and talk about them it is so much fun. I really look forward to it each night. Now we have found something to do in bed together that is not sleeping or well you know.......

Click on the title link to go to the amazon page with these question books on them.
