Sexy Smells

One thing you don't want to overlook when trying to make your relationship great is your sense of smell. Various smells are appealing to different people. So you have to do a little trial and error. Some people are attracted to flowery smells such as geraniums, lavender or roses. Still others find food smells appealing things such as vanilla, pumpkin spice, and cinnamon. Just like you have to search for cologne and perfume that your partner enjoys you need to do the same for scents you might use in your bedroom or as lotions on yourself. A good method to try is to go the store and smell the candles. They come in a variety of smells and are strong enough for you to get a good feel just by sniffing them. Let me tell you a good smell can create a wonderful mood in the bedroom. This added scent can work wonders on getting your partner in the mood. For instance my partner has some vanilla lotion that drives me wild when she wears it as well as some peppermint lotion. Yes sometime smells can be overdone so don't over do it. A rule of thumb to use is that a little smell goes a long way. You each also have your own unique sent so don't underestimate that. Some people just love to smell each other and that can be a turn on it's self.

If your partner left you a love note....

If your partner left you a love note, what kind of note would you like it to be.

1. A Poem - Sweet and from the Heart?

2. A Humorous attempt to get you in bed later?

3. A Personal Message describing the ways they love you?

4. A Hot and Steamy, down and dirty Message?

5. Something else?

Tell us which type of letter you would like to receive. Give us details and if you have gotten any give us the scoop on them.

Thanks,

Rob

The Temperature of romance

We all have a specific temperatures that we are comfortable with be it during the day or in the evening when we are trying to sleep. We also all have temperatures that we like to make love in or snuggle at so do a little research and find the best temperatures for you and your partner. Hit the air conditioning if you partner doesn't like sweaty sex. Keep the thermostat turned down cooler in those winter months to encourage your partner to snuggle. Turn the air conditioning down to get your partner into wearing less clothes around the house. Heck you can even turn the heat up in the winter and wear you swimsuits around. Have fun with this little adjusting of the temperature. Make it hot then when you partner complains tell them "Well maybe you should have so many clothes on!" with a raised eyebrow.

Holding hands can make a difference.

Tough times are hard to get through. Once simple thing that will make it a little better is holding hands during them. Funerals, financial troubles, hurt feelings are all things that the simple act of holding hands will benefit both partners. The support and ability to lean on your partner is one of those things that makes relationships wonderful. You can give gifts, go on vacations, and have parties out the butt. However when the chips are down a simple hand holding for support will work wonders.

Hand Massage

A great way to show your partner you are thinking about them in a less then sexual way is to give them a hand massage. We don't realize how much we use our hands. If your partner spends any time at the computer or typing then their hands might need it more then they realize. Hand massages are easier then other areas of massage because you can sit together. You don't have to be over the top of them or sitting with their back towards you. Get some massage oil or even baby oil and gently work the meaty parts of the hand. Most likely you will be meet with a moan of delight as we just don't get our hands worked on very often. Then make sure to work each finger individually. Make sure not to pull to hard or creating pain in any way. Make sure to follow up with the other hand and really work out the kinks that are most likely there but unknown to the receiver. This romantic massage can be preformed anywhere and you can even do it while the two of you are watching television. Touch is such a relationship builder that you should take advantage of any way possible to touch the one you love, and a hand massage is a great way to do that.

Teasing a sport in it's own right.

As a couple you are a little more accepting of good nature teasing between the two of you. Heck others could say the same things you partner says but you might deck them. There is a level of trust that comes when you partner teases you, not like you feel when someone else teases you. You might even be able to consider it foreplay. Some couples get great joy out of teasing each other. They get a great rush out of the feeling of teasing each other. Bantering back and forth can create a sexual tension that could just erupt at any point during the evening. Use this to you advantage. Tease with the intention of getting the other person riled up. Use this as your intention of brining them up to the level they would need to be greatly aroused then see if you can coax them into an all out assault on your pleasure. A word of caution this can also back fire on you if you hit a nerve that might send your partner reeling in the other direction. So tread lightly and I hope it works out for you.

The Labor of Love

Love comes with some many things attached to it. When we become a couple there are certain things that just fall into place. Things like sharing your time, or chores, most likely you will soon be sharing your living space with this person. These things are not easy. The transition from two single people to a couple is a hard one. You have to put in a lot of trial and error to find out what works best for the two of you. Keeping that individualism while still being in a relationship take work and sacrifice if you want it to work. Ask any couple that has been together for what you view as a long time and I am sure that they could fill your ears with tuff times they have had during their relationship. A relationship is a work in progress for ever, as you and your partner change with time your relationship will also. This means that once you think you have your relationship figured out something will change and disrupt your views again. You might be sitting there think why even bother then. Well, all you have to do is look at the benefits of the relationship to understand that. Having someone to care for you, help you out, stand up for you, be there when you need someone, someone to share experiences and memories with, intimacy, kissing, etc, etc, etc. Relationships are great but you only get out of them what you put into them. So, roll up your sleeves and get to working on that relationship of yours.

Great Date Idea : Retro Concert

Here is a great date idea for the couple that has been together for a while. Keep your eyes on the concert scene around your area and watch for bands that were popular when you started dating. Then when they come to town doing a retro concert don't waste time and pick up tickets as soon as they go on sale. This will be a great date and a great way to remember all the fun times you had during the start of your relationship. Heck even dress the part bringing out the old time clothes if they still fit and try to recreate the things you use to do in your youth. Make it as fun as you can and invite other friends if they are still around to join the party. This is one of those ways you can really relive the past without having to build a time machine.

Smoothies, fun and enjoyable.

Kitchen chores such as cooking and cleaning are usually not much fun. However making smoothies with you partner can not only be fun but it can be health for you also. Plus the clean up is a breeze. First of all make sure you have a great blender for this adventure. If not you can pick one up on your next step, which is to get your butts to the store. Search the aisles for fruits and juices you enjoy. Things like bananas, pineapple, blueberries, orange juice, kiwi, the list goes on and on but these will be your ingredients for your smoothie. I personally like to make mine with milk or cream, but that is what I like. Now once you get home here is where the fun starts. Cut up your items that need to be downsides for the blender making sure to feed each other a piece from time to time. Now to make this smoothie a couples smoothie you have to take turns adding ingredients. Pick your base, it can be a juice base or my preference milk based. Next start adding the other ingredients one by one with both of you taking turns picking your favorite. Once all items are in the blender, blend away and then pour into some special glasses and enjoy your personal couples smoothie. Oh, I forgot about the easy clean up, open up the door of the dish washer and up in the blender and utensils used to downsize the ingredients and presto you are done.

Do a little shopping for the two of you!

This the season to be jolly and what better way then to buy something fun for the two of you. In this day and age is is so easy to find something with a little spark to it without going somewhere that you might be seen by your neighbor, your childrens teachers, or even you minister. The internet allows couples to browse and choose items to spice up their relationship without ever leaving the comforts of their home. No more sneaking around or standing a few aisles over to look at the item you want to share with your partner. When you order over the internet even the packaging is descret, so you don't have to worry about your mailperson or neighbor finding out what is in the box. This fact alone has helped couples branch out a little and try new things to improve the sex in their relationship. Tonight get out the hot cocoa and find a online sex toy shop that fits your bill and do a little shopping for the couple in you. Take turns picking out a toy or do a random search and pick what ever you turn up. Then try it out and see what happens you never know until you try and try and try again, see where the fun comes in on this.

Can't get to the Islands how about an Island Drink?

It is starting to turn cold outside and almost everyone wishes they were someplace in the tropics about now. Except maybe those people in the tropics! Most of us can't just stop everything and hop on a plane and be basking in the sun by this evening. How about bringing a little of the tropics home for you and your partner. Go out and get some ingredients to make up some great island drinks. Some suggestions might be daiquiris, pina coloda or even margaritas. If you don't know how to make the drink don't worry your local liquor store will most likely have a pre-mixed version or you can look the recipe up on the Internet. Surprise you partner and create a island setting in your home. Turn the heat up a little spread some beach blankets on the floor, heck even put on your swim suit and sunglasses. Find some island music with steel drums and maybe you could even spend the evening browsing through your last vacation photos and remembering how special your trip was. Top off the evening with a luau, cook some island food and spend the night making out on the beach (towel). This is just what you need to break the start of cold and flu season.

Relationship Ruts

Have you hit a relationship rut? Well if you haven't you most likely will at some point in time. A Relationship rut is when you are in a space where it seems like you are doing the same things over and over. You feel like your life is on a cycle. You get up go to work come home go to bed, and your weekends feel similar. You get up take the kids to baseball games, eat lunch, come home, watch a movie, go to sleep. When you feel yourself getting into this positions, is the time you need to break out and find something new to do. Either by yourself or with the family, you need some thing new to stimulate your relationship. Grab your partner and find something you have never done before and spend a day doing that. Take a photography class, or go white water rafting. Maybe you want to include the kids too. If that is the case go on a all day hike, or visit an amusement park, go bowling, or geocaching. The possibilities are endless, so you really don't have a reason to get in a rut. Make sure what ever you decide to do sounds like fun to your partner or family and then head out. Don't think about your decisions to much and don't use chores as an excuse. The lawn and laundry will still be there when you get home and you can do them later if you like

Lube Jobs - A Woman's Guide to Great Maintenance Sex

Want to get a handle on the differences in your libido? Well this book is a great starting point for that concern. Debra and Don Macleod really help the understanding of the importance of sex in a relationship for men. They also help show that it can be just as wonderful for the woman in the relationship. Below is the description of the book offered at many site. You can pick up the book at a very good price by clicking on my Amazon page link in the side bar. The book is also listed on my favorites list. Click on it to go straight to the book.

Book: Lube Jobs: A Woman's Guide To Great Maintenance Sex
A straight-talking women's guide to tending to a partner's unrequited libido and reigniting the sexual sparks in a long-term relationship. Part saucy sex manual, part relationship survival guide, this book also features stories of couples struggling to find their own balance in the bedroom.

A straight-talking women's guide to tending to a partner's unrequited libido and reigniting the sexual sparks in a long-term relationship. Many couples are all too familiar with the classic bedroom balancing act-managing His and Her sex drives. As men clamor for more action and women grumble for more sleep, the topic of "maintenance sex"-those dutiful two minutes to "get it over with"-invariably arises to divide and conquer a couple's sex life. Yet as Don and Debra Macleod reveal in "Lube Jobs," maintenance sex can be an exciting and loving way to jump-start a stalled sex life. And if it's done right, it can be fun for "both" parties. Indeed, just as the sleekest luxury car requires routine tune-ups for smooth performance, a long-term relationship requires regular lube jobs for a friction-free love life. Part saucy sex manual, part relationship survival guide, "Lube Jobs" includes a provocative menu of twenty ready-made "lube jobs" consisting of naughty sex scenarios, bedroom-toy tips, sexual techniques, and erotica. Each lube job inspires a woman to embrace maintenance sex as a critical aspect of her committed relationship, and shows her how to infuse it with spontaneity and affection. Throughout are poignant, sometimes hilarious, stories of couples struggling to find their own balance in the bedroom.

When did our relationship slip to being the last thing we care about?

Life is a wonderful thing and living is so important, why then do we let the hustle and bustle of everyday life get the best of us. Thing about this how different is your relationship now that you have been with your partner for some time? Remember back to the early part of your relationship where the most important thing was getting to be together. The other stuff just got in the way, you would count the hours until work was over or you couldn't wait for the time when you date would arrive. Remember the feelings you first had when you made love? That calm feeling of just being in bed together, passion was the focus and the rest of the world was on the outside looking in. Now if you have been together for a while are all those feelings still the same. Do you look forward to coming home to your partner so you can really spend time with them. It seems sad to me that the longer we are together the farther apart we drift. If you in that roommate stage of relationship where it seems like you are just meeting at the end of the day to sleep, you need to stop. This is the point in which love goes into hibernation. Sure you still love your partner but the passion and romance are sleeping. Time to wake them up. Make an effort to get back to that state when you loved doing things with your partner. Make time for the two of you to have fun. Yes even if you have kids that is what babysitters are for. You owe it to yourselves to get reconnected. My suggestion is to make sex a priority also, take turns planning romantic evenings even if they are in your own home and stick to it. It is easy to say I'm too tired or I don't feel like it, but now if you think about it doesn't your relationship deserve it. If you can bring the passion back into your relationship your whole world will seem a little brighter again. Think about how great life seemed when you were only worried about the romance and love. You can have that again all you need to do is try a little.

Money in your Relationship

One thing that can bring a fight on is the topic of money. Usually one person takes control of the finances in a realtionship and the other partner has no clue as to where they stand. This is very dangerous for both partners. You should always have an idea and discuss your finanaces with each other no matter which person you are. Both partners should have access to some amount of money they can spend on their personal likes. Don't call it an allowance just say it is your portion of the household income to spend. Even if the person can't manage money worth a hoot they still need to be in control of some of it. If one of you is very bad a managing money I suggest setting up a special account for the person to use as their spending money. This way your basic budget stays in tact and you don't have to worry about little surprises throughing off the household income. If you want your relationship to stay healthy you need to discuss most of your purchases, going to the store and paying the bills need not be discussed unless you are deciding which ones you can't pay this month. If a partner does something outside the norm to make some money, make sure they get their fair share of the amount. Bottom line is your well bing comes first but everyone need to just blow some money from time to time. Work together on your budget and it will be easier for both of your to stick to. Last thing if you do get in trouble financially don't be afraid to ask for help right now banks and companies are tring as hard as they can to keep the economy from a total break down.
