Couples That Work Out Together - Stay Together

If you haven't yet gotten a joint gym membership with your significant other, you could be missing out on some crucial bonding time that can strengthen your relationship. While working out as a couple may not be ideal for every union, this type of physical experience can strengthen a connection and give couples more time to spend with one another.
If you're wondering why you should consider your mate as a workout partner, here are several benefits to working out as a couple:
•Reignite that old spark. If you feel like your relationship has become dull and drab, you can reignite the old spark and passion that you once felt by breaking a sweat together. For many couples, starting a friendly competition to see who can run the farthest or do the most consecutive sit-ups could be just what you need to jumpstart your love life again. Of course, if your partner is the competitive type, proceed with caution; there's no reason to get into a silly spat while exercising.
•Share common interests. If you and your spouse feel like two ships passing in the night, then carving out some time to hit the gym could provide another activity that you both can enjoy together. Or, if you're a couple that feels like you have little in common - opposites attract! - starting a workout routine can help to create common ground.
•Get motivated. If you'd rather hit snooze on your alarm than jog around the block in the morning, your partner could be the perfect person to encourage you to stick to a regular workout schedule. If you both decided to workout to get your health on track, you can work together to hold each other accountable, even when one person feels like throwing in the towel.
•Share accomplishments. If you're working toward a larger workout goal to lose weight or train for a marathon, you and your significant other can share the success together. When you achieve small milestones one after one, you can both cheer each other on and revel in your shared accomplishments when you pass the finish line.
•You can sync your schedules. Even if you're not at the same fitness level or don't have similar exercise interests, you can still exercise in the gym at the same time as your sweetie. This is a great way to line up your schedules and connect after a busy day of work. Or, you can start the morning off right by working out together, even if you're in a yoga class and he's on the treadmill.
If you're looking for a unique way to exercise with your partner, consider signing up for a class or group sports, like a soccer team. If you feel intimidated by working out with your significant other, consider the fact that learning a new skill together can help to promote a healthy sense of teamwork. This will also help to strengthen the health of your relationship as an added bonus. Win-win!

7 New Year's Resolutions for Couples

7 New Year's Resolutions for Couples (YES, for Couples - Try It!)

Do couples ever make resolutions for their relationship?
Here at the time of New Year's Resolutions, and at any time, it sure seems like a good ides for couples to make resolutions for their relationship.
To that end, here are 7 suggestions for Couple Resolutions:
1) Remember first attractions - It's so easy in the general messiness of living with another person to forget about what attracted you to each other in the first place. This would be a good list to make and a good conversation to have every know and then.
It's been said by my favorite author (Author Unknown) that "When you are up to your neck in alligators, it's hard to remember the original objective was to drain the swamp."This applies here big time.
2) Fight for relationship - Couples fight sometimes. That's just part of the territory. So since you are going to fight, why not decide in advance what to for, yes? I suggest fighting for the relationship. Most folks fight to be right. Fight for the relationship.
3) Live below your means - Now I've gone from preaching to meddling, right? The happiest couples I know are not necessarily the richest couples I know. The happiest couples I know are those without significant money worries. The best way to achieve this is to live below your means.
4) Know love language - In what way does your partner best experience and feel loved? Is it actions like acts of service? Is it words? Is it being touched?
The best way to find out is to ask.
5) Speak love language - Once you know the love language of your partner, speak it. Radical notion I know, but it works. The temptation is to speak in our own love language. Often that is not the language of our partner. Know it and speak it.
6) Daily time together - I don't care if it's just 15 minutes. Couple need this time to keep the connection strong. In the hustle and bustle of each day, couple time is often the first thing to go. Schedule it if you have to, just make sure you get it in.
7) Regular date night - This could be the best couple resolution of all. You dated when you were getting together. Why stop? A regular date night allows you to spend quality couple time together, and gives you something to look forward to each week or month.
Bonus Tip - Think a regular date night could get expensive? You're right. Think a regular date night has to be expensive? You're wrong.

Smittens

Smittens
Okay for those couples that love to hold hands this is an amazing product I stumbled across.  If you enjoy holding hand with each other, the cold weather usually presents a problem for this simple love message.  However with Smittens you can still hold actual hands in the cold weather.  The oversized double mitten allows lovers to keep their hands warm while joining their hands together.  Also included are two other mittens that match for those hands that are not getting held.  This might seem a little over the top for some but it can be a great way to show the world you are in love, even in cold weather.

Challenge each other to recycle!

Love is good and recycling is good, also. Why not make a game of recycling between you and your lover. Make it a point to see who can recycle the most items or to call the other one out when they don't recycle. If you find a soda can in the trash from your lover, make sure to draw it to their attention. You could even go as far as to set up a chart and when you hit a certain point your partner has to take you to dinner. You could even put disciplines on items found in the trash that were recyclable. For example, 3 items found would make your partner have to give you a massage. Heck you could even attach sexual favors to a number of recycled items you find in the trash from your partner. Then at least you both win as you dig out the items. If you really want to get into the competition thing then start two bags of recycling and see who can fill theirs up first. You could even do this in your neighborhood. What ever way you do it, the fact remains you will be helping the environment. Peace and recycling to all of you.

Theme Songs

Most couples have their song! You know the one you first danced to or the one playing when you first met. These songs are wonderful memories and remind you of that special time when ever you hear them. However that isn't what this post is about. I want you to start picking out theme songs for your everyday life. The two of you sit down together and pick out songs for certain things you have to get done. For instance, make a playlist of upbeat songs for when the two of you are cleaning house. You know the songs that get you moving so that you are dancing while you are cleaning. You can even have dinner music to play lightly in the back ground during supper time. Don't forget sensual music to play when you are well for lack of a better phrase, getting it on. Music has such a powerful way of affecting our life that we need to use it to our advantage more often. Sit down tonight and the two of you hash out some playlist for your life and you might just find yourselves dancing together more often.

Save money together.

Our economy right now has everyone struggling to find ways to cut costs. Doing it together can be beneficial and fun. Get the sunday paper and go through the coupons together. Find the best prices on items by searching the internet and comparing. Make these actions an adventure for the two of you. Do some more research and find fun free things to do for you and your family. These are all great ways to save money and enjoy your time together doing it. Make it a contest to see who can find the best prices or the most fun free thing to do. With a little love and hard work you will not only save a lot of money but build a relationship where two people know how to work as a team.

Don't forget to set time aside for your love.

Do you have those days where you just collapse into bed? You have spent all day taking and running the kids around, working, doing laundry, etc, etc, etc. Yet the one thing you have forgotten is one of the most important things in your life. That is your relationship! You have spent all you energy doing the other things in life and now you have no time or energy for your relationship. This is when you have to dig deep and find the energy to give to your partner. They deserve it and you know it but it is hard when you are ready to just relax. I suggest that you start thinking about saving some energy through out the day to save for your partner. Think of yourself as having a battery and just sit down and store away some charge for your partner later. Your relationship will benefit greatly if you have time to converse under the stars or talk while laying in bed, or even have a little physical encounter that lets you both sleep with a smile on your face. Don't wait until it is convenient for put time into your relationship you need to do it every single day. Take 15 minutes or so and just sit and store some of your energy up and tell yourself, "That is for my relationship later"

Write an erotica story back and forth.

Sometimes if you have difficulty telling your partner what you want you might just have to write it down. Not an instruction list but a fantasy or a desire to try something different. Try this little exercise the next time the two of you have some free time. One of you start writing an erotica story and then after a page stop. That night read what you have written to your partner and then hand the paper over to them. The next day it is their turn to start writing and and to read their little bit of erotica to you that night. Keep this going until you finish a story and then start over again with the opposite partner starting the story. Be very descriptive about the images in your head and see if you can get your partner hot and ready for action. This might just become a ritual in your bedroom each night. It also allows you to express fantasies to your partner and gives them some insight to what you find erotic. Heck you might find that they two of you have the same interest but were both afraid to express it. Dig out your best writing pen or type of your part and send it to your love if you are to embarrassed to read it aloud. Soon you might just be getting exactly what you want.

Together overcome!

It is a fact of life that at some points and time some depression will hit your life. This is when it is great to be in a loving and caring relationship. Nothing knocks depression for a loop like someone telling you how much they love you and how great you are. That person is and should be your partner. They are the support that is always there they are the rock that doesn't waiver. Sometimes you are that partner and sometimes you need that partner. Love is a wonderful tool in so many ways yet people don't know how to use it to the best of it's ability in most cases. Love is not physical, it is not emotional, and it is not spiritual, it is all these things rolled together. When you understand this you will see that love is the greatest gift we can give or receive. Think of that the next time you partner has a bad day and instead of hiding in another area of the house offer up some physical, emotional and spiritual words to break that frown into a smile.
