Smittens

Smittens
Okay for those couples that love to hold hands this is an amazing product I stumbled across.  If you enjoy holding hand with each other, the cold weather usually presents a problem for this simple love message.  However with Smittens you can still hold actual hands in the cold weather.  The oversized double mitten allows lovers to keep their hands warm while joining their hands together.  Also included are two other mittens that match for those hands that are not getting held.  This might seem a little over the top for some but it can be a great way to show the world you are in love, even in cold weather.

Make sure when you partner wakes up on Christmas they are just as excited as when they were a kid.

Remember the wonderful feeling when you were a kid and you woke up on Christmas morning. You would run out of bed with your feet barely hitting the floor. Now we might not be able to get each other that excited about Christmas but you can make it a fun festive day for the two of you. If you have any children in the house you shouldn't have any problem. Watching them is excitement enough. If you don't have any children in the house then you need to make plans to have a wonderful day together. Get up early and make a wonderful breakfast together. Then Shower and slip into some warm comfy clothing and exchange gifts. Then you have the rest of the day to enjoy. Maybe a nice walk on Christmas day would be good or relaxing with some hot cocoa might be your thing. If your social creatures invite some friends over to play board games or watch movies. The point of the day is to make it special not like all the other days of the year. Make sure to set some time for the two of you to get a little closer during this wonderful day, make love, snuggle, and sleep in each others arms. Now that my friends is a very Merry Christmas.

Get close on a Haunted Tour or Walk

A great activity for the two of you to do is to go on a haunted tour or visit a suggested haunted house. This is a great time of year obviously with Halloween just around the corner. You can search the Internet to find tours in your area. My findings are you can really find several of these types of tours even not at this time of year. Now these are not your generic haunted houses that they charge admission to and their will is no one jumping out to grab or scare you. These are informational tours that give you insight into places around your area that are said to be haunted. You guide will tell you the stories and usually will encourage you to take pictures to see if any spirits show up in the photos. My wife and I have spent several hours searching through pictures to see if we can find any evidence of ghosts. If you find a good tour you guide will usually dress the part and be very gothic in appearance and manner. This helps add to the excitement. Don’t be surprised if the two of you end up holding hands as you listen to the tales that can send chills up and down your spine. The fees for these types of tours are usually pretty reasonable with them being a little higher at this time of year. The thrill you find will depend on how much you believe in these types of events. No matter if you are a believer or not you will still find the stories interesting and compelling. We have been on great tours in San Diego, CA, Clearwater, FL and the best one was in New Orleans. Go ahead a book your tour today most of them have day and night tours, I suggest going at night for the added thrill.

Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk

It amazes me how couples treat each other. The other night we were with several other couples and I listen to one woman down grade her husband with him sitting right in front of her. Well as the night went on other couples came and went. Until it was finally just a few of us. That is when my mouth almost hit the floor. The woman who was down grading her husband in front of everyone said "I can't believe the way so and so treated her boyfriend." She went on, "I feel sorry for him, they way she talked about him" I couldn't believe my ears, this lady had done the exact same thing. So either she didn't really care about her husband or she didn't even realize what she was saying.

My point here is that you cannot have a solid relationship if you view your partner as baggage. If that is the way you feel about your relationship, then you should be wondering why you feel that way. If you really don't realize that you are doing it then hopefully someday you will step back and see it from the other perspective. Before it is to late. People's feelings are fragile and what you might say in jest can really hurt sometimes. So be careful of what you say to your mate, you might not mean anything by it but they may not see it that way.

Walks

I do believe one of the most romantic things that costs absolutely nothing is just taking a walk together. The place doesn't matter, unless it is in an unsafe location or during an unsafe time. I mean don’t go for a walk in the middle of a hurricane or a very shady neighborhood. A walk gives the two of you privacy even when you are out in the open. For starters, only the people that are walking at the very same pace can hear what you are saying – for the most part. You can set your own pace; if you want to casually stroll it doesn't matter, in fact, I recommend it. Have you ever heard the expression, “Stop and smell the roses,”? Well, do that to on your walk. Walks can include magical moments. It is a great time to ask someone to marry you or maybe just to present them with an anniversary present. Walks can happen anywhere. They might be downtown in a big city, a park, your old neighborhood, or one of my favorites - the beach. Never under any circumstance put a time limit on your walk. This is a time for the two of you to reconnect. If you are constantly looking at your watch and saying, “We better get back,” the moment is lost. When I think back about some great walks my wife and I have had I bring back some very fond memories. Like asking her to marry me while walking on a beach in Cancun. We stopped near a great big rock in the middle of the beach. It felt like we were miles away from anyone else. Yet, there were a few other people on the beach. Another memorable walk we had was walking/hiking up a mountain in Gatlinburg. It was so much fun. It was a warm spring day, we soon realized we should have worn heavier coats the higher up the mountain we got.

Now that we have looked at all the romantic and sentimental views of the walk, I will also let you in on a little secret. Shhhhhhhhh. A walk is great exercise. I kid you not. It is good for your heart and lungs. Not only are you enjoying each other’s company, but you are making your life a little longer by improving your health. Walks ROCK. So never be too busy no matter where you are to put one foot in front of the other. Venture out into nature or the city. You will see so much more than you will driving in your car, and you might have a few times to stop and kiss!

Now get to steppin!
