Many couples consider bondage way outside
their comfort zone. While I would
agree that some of areas of bondage are not for the normal couple. I also think that light bondage gets a
bad rap. Light bondage can consist
of something so simple as wearing a blindfold. Removing the ability for your partner to see can be a fun
and exciting way to enhance your love making. Even holding your lovers hands above their head while you
are making love to them can be considered light bondage. Now I have given you two things that
you might consider pretty tame but they are both considered part of light
bondage.

Don't be the old couple watching television in matching recliners.

This image haunts me to this day, the image of older people in their matching recliners wasting away the rest of their lives watching television. Don't fall victim to this trap. As we age it is true we can't do as much as we can when we were younger. However that doesn't have to be a death sentence to sit mindlessly watching television for the rest of our lives. As a couple it is your position to spur each other on and not get trapped in that recliner of death. Turn the television off and read a book, that way at least you are stimulating your mind, now a days you can even use a reading device such as the Amazon kindle so that you don't have stacks of books laying around. Make sure you exercise your body, also. Take walks, do simple exercises if you are unable to do others. Make the commitment to each other to not let the sedimentary lifestyle set in on either of you. Think of things to do go out and watch your kids or grandchildren play sports, soak up some sun, and enjoy all of your life you can. No one ever remembers how many episodes of Dancing with the stars you watched during your life, but they do remember how much life you had in you, so live it up.

Get out in the cold, so you can warm up together later.

Even though it is winter time for most of us there are still plenty of things for couples to do outside. You can always dress up really warm and go for a exhilarating walk in the cold air. Snow skiing is another way couples can pass the time outside and there are several forms you can participate in. Your normal down hill skiing, sledding, tubing, and cross country skiing are just a few activities that can get the two of you outside, with being able to be together. Building snowmen, making snow angels or just challenge the local kids to a snowball fight. Just make sure to dress warmly and enjoy each others company. Now after you spend all this time out in the cold air, you are going to need to warm up. What better way then to snuggle up together in front of the fireplace sipping hot cocoa while you touch each other. At this time of year nothing is more romantic then enjoying a warm fire with the person you want to be closest to.

Don't view everyone elses life through rose colored glasses.

Have you ever said or though that you wish your life could be like someone elses? You see that happy couple in the mall and wonder what they are doing to be so happy. The parents down the street that are always walking their child in the stroller. These images give us the impression that everything in their life is perfect. They are happy eveything goes well for them and they don't have near the troubles that we do. Well you need to take off the rose colored glasses right now. I am hear to tell you that every relationship has troubles, someones elses troubles might not seem important to you but believe me, in that they feel that their troubles are important. I am sure you have heard "That you can't judge a book by it's cover" Well the same thing goes for relationships. People have a tendency to put on a front to make everyone think they are happy. I have seen many a couple that seems to be content with each other suddenly get divorced and you hear things about them you never dreamed would have happened in their relationship. The big thing to remember is every relationship is going to have some rocky parts, there is not such thing as a perfect relationship. The thing that sets good solid relationship apart is that they understand and deal with the problems better then the others. They don't let them brew up to the point of exploding. You always need to look at the thing that is making you upset from the outside, is it really important to get angry over? A partner cheating on you is a thing to get upset over but not shutting the cabinet doors or replacing the toliet paper roll, seem a little on the pickey side when you stand back and look at it.
Step back when ever you get upset and really look at the thing making your crazy. Is it just a little thing that isn't that important but just bugs you, then you need to take a different approch. Try to reason things out to make the situation better. Don't get upset just talk it out let them know it bugs you, don't throw a fit because one fit most likely will start another. Relax and understand that you partner is not perfect and you wouldn't want them to be.

Get Outside together

Hey it's summer time if you didn't realize and time for the both of you to get outside. I know it's hot and humid and you don't want to get sweaty. Suck it up quite being a baby. Find some things you can do together outside. Gardening is a great activity for a couple if you have the room. Bike riding, walks, exploring parks together, fishing, baseball games, are just a few of the things you can enjoy during the summer months. Take up something new like hiking or water skiing as long as you do it together it is important. You can play golf together or make a giant slip and slide in your neighbor hood for all the kids. Be playful that is what summer is all about. Now stop procrastinating and get outside and enjoy your summer and each other.

The Stars at Night Look Big and Bright (Click here to learn about constellations)

Here is a quickie that will be a wonderful event between you and your partner. Find some cushions, bean bag chairs, or even a blanket, and on the next clear warm summer night head outside. Arrange whatever sitting or laying device you have brought out and position it so that you can gaze skywards without straining your neck. Also, make sure that in this position you can touch or hold your partner. Then simply relax and enjoy the greatest light show in the universe. This is a great stress reliever also as it seems to put some perspective into your life. You could even brush up a little on your astronomy or even purchase a book showing the constellations so that you and your partner can enjoy trying to point them out to each other. If you have a quiet back yard, you might even bring out a little mood music or even just a taping of a waterfall or rain. But, first and foremost relax, take your time and enjoy searching the cosmos with your love.
Not a night person? You can do the same thing during a warm summer day, but instead of stars use clouds. Point out clouds and what their shapes look like to you, and then see what your partner sees in the same cloud. It is quite interesting to see the differences in your ideas. Don't be afraid to involve your children in this too. I love to hear the perspective of a young child, and this will bring you closer as a family, which will bring you closer as a couple.
