Where would you leave a love note for your partner?

Our readers respond to the best places to leave a love note for your partner. It seems that our readers enjoy leaving hand written notes for their lovers to find in places like, in a pocket of their clothes, or on their pillow (both of these received 37% of the votes) Sending the note via the regular mail and texting both brought a response of 12%. Our readers would avoid sending a love note over email or voice mail. So it seems the old fashion hand written note works the best left in a place for them to discover it later.

Love flows were attention goes.

Do you love your partner? I am sure most of you that are visiting this blog are saying, yes. However do you honor them with your love or do you just say it. When is the last time you just laid it on the line and did something unselfish for them. Not wanting anything in return just to tell them you love them. When is the last time you brought flowers home, or left a little love note for them to read. When is the last time you sent them a sexy little email or seduced them while they were not expecting it. Make a shift to start doing this at least once a week if not more often. Not only does it make your partner feel important and appreciated it also helps to build a strong relationship. Because trust me if your partner loves you as much as you love them then soon that attention to love will start flowing towards you.

Pack your partner a love bag!

Does you partner have a commute to work? Maybe they have a long drive coming up. If this is the case then make them a little travel bag for them to have for their commute or trip. For example back this bag with their favorite healthy snacks, their favorite music and change for drinks on the trip. This little gesture will score hug point for you when your partner returns home. You can put anything in the bag they can use on their drive as long as it isn't dangerous for them. So don't back a magazine because they can't read that on the drive. Maybe a audio book or a picture you can stick by the speedometer. A special note taped to the steering wheel for them to read as they leave is another great way to show them you care. Find your own style and make your partners drive a little less stressful.

Send a late night email expressing your feelings or fears.

Sometimes it is hard to just bring up something that has had deep meaning in your life. It might be something from you childhood or maybe even something that your partner has done the hurt your feelings. You want to express your total feelings without being interrupted before you get your whole point across. This is where the magic thing we call email is a benefit. Find some time when you are alone and construct your message to your partner, opening up your feelings and letting your emotions come out in the email. Send it to them and say nothing, never ask if they got the email, just wait for a reply either in person or by return email. Sure, face to face talking is always the best but sometimes if you might be embarrassed or scared to tell them how you feel. Most likely your partner will understand your feelings and then you have now opened up the lines of communication and found another way to communicate with the person you love.

Be prepared for Valentine's Day next year.

Here is a wonderful idea, the only downfall to it is that you have to wait until next year at Valentine's Day to enjoy it. Basically all you do is start writing down all the sweet and wonderful things your partner does for you in a journal. You do this day in and day out for an entire year, then next year at Valentine's Day you present this journal to your partner with a card attached that says here are some of the reasons this past year that you made me feel special. Now you can't just have one or two things written down in this journal. Make it a point to fill the journal up. Your partner will have a great time reading through the little notes on things that they did the past year to make you feel special. In fact, by writing these things down you to will gain more appreciation for your partner and all they do for you. Have a great Valentine's Day tomorrow and show you love how important they are to you.

Be My Valentine

Want to do something sweet and adorable for Valentine's Day? Think back to when you were very little and some of your very first Valentine's Days. Did you ever send the not to the young boy/girl that said, "Will you be my Valentine?" then finished it with "Circle YES or NO" then you had your friend give it to the person you thought was cute and waited to get the note back. Well do that again only this time give it to your spouse, lover, partner, mate who ever is in your life that you care about deeply. Sure it may be a little silly but what is life without laughter and fun. If your lucky you might get it back with a big circle around the YES. Have a great Valentine's Day and enjoy the love in your life.

Mood Music

We can tell a lot about the way our partner is feeling by the type of music they are listening to. It takes a little study but you will start to learn how they react to certain types of music. Is the music up tempo or slow and methodical? Is what they are listening to making them get up and dance or are they just sitting listening to the words of the song. Maybe they are listening to the blues because they are sad or down in the dumps, or they could just like the blues. You need to start cataloging what type of music they are listening to and their emotions. For instance if every time they are listening to some funky disco music they seem to be dancing around having a good time, then make a note of it. However if they are sitting listening to some country song, drinking beer and in a down in the dumps mood, make a note of it. Go as far as to write down specific songs and seem to get them pumped up or feeling good. Then the next time they are having a bad day, slip on one of those songs that made them feel good at a different time and see if it improves their mood. This is one of those simple little things you do for the person you love, get to know them and how the music effects them. They may not make the connection but you will know the real reason you put that song on for them is because you love them.

Turn Christmas into a how well do you know me event.

Christmas is a great time to test your knowledge of your partner. If you listen closely through the year you will have all the knowledge you need to pick out presents for your partner. Everytime during the year that your partner might mention something they would like to have or points something out to you in a store you need to make a note of it. I don't mean a mental note, write it down with a piece of paper or file it on your computer. Make note of the time and day to jog their memory if they don't remember asking for it. This gets you in the habit of listening for little clues that your partner puts out. Not only will this make your partners Christmas special but it will make your relationship wonderful too.

Tell me about your great and bad dates.

I am curious as to what constitutes a great date. I want to hear from our viewer about where they have went the turned out to be a great date and where did you go that turned out to be a lousy date. I understand we might get some conflicting data but for the most part I just want to know. It is so hard to pick the right place for that first date, so I would like to be able to pass along some information to those who are about to embark on their first date with someone. For me the first date should be someplace quite that you can talk. Place such as museums or the zoo that give you a chance to walk around and chit chat about the exhibits to get the conversation flowing. My opinion of the worst places to go are crowed clubs or the movies as they tend to be places that you can't converse or that you sit and watch for long periods of time. These are my examples but I want to hear from you so drop me a line at thecouplesspot@gmail.com . I am anxious to hear from everyone.

Give them a list

Want to show you partner how special they are. Make a list of all the wonderful things about your partner. Find a nice piece of paper and a wonderful pen. Start out slow ideas will start coming to you quickly I assure you. You can write about how great they look, the wonderful things they do, the simple things they do to make your life better, or even just the silly things that makes you love them even more. Now find an envelope and put the list inside it. Carefully write their name or you pet name for them on the front. Seal the envelope and now you can either give it to them straight up or slip it into their pillow case to be read later. You will most defiantly make their day when they read it. If you are near watch them and see how long it takes for a smile to grace their face.

Bank Notes

Here is a cute little way to tell you partner you care about them. Simply write it somewhere they will not expect it. Like in their check register or on a sticky note put on their credit card. You need to find something that they use quite often, yet most likely won't use with you around. On their car dashboard, send it to their work email (If that won't get them in trouble), write it on their water bottle, or slip a note in their workout shoes. By doing this they get the message you really care about them even when they are not around. Just make sure someone else can't find the message. Your partner might be pretty embarrassed if they hand something to the bank teller that says "I Love You" on it.

The Scarlet Letter

You may have had to read the book, The Scarlet Letter, at some point during your school years. If not, here is my brief over view. A woman commits adultery and has to wear a scarlet letter “A” on all her clothes. Mind you, we are not going to confess our sins on our clothing, but we are going to use it to tell our partner what we want. So start searching through your clothes for ones that have letters on them. If you don't have any with letters, then just go buy some cloth or foam letters at your local discount store. You can make variations to this by putting the letters on the headboard or on the mirror in the bathroom. Especially if you want this to remain a secret and not have other people asking why you are wearing letters on your clothes.
Before you pick your first letter you either need to make a master list of what each letter stands for, or slowly add letters to the first one during certain times of the day to spell out what you would like. You could even possibly text the letter using your phone to your partner. A master list could go as follows. D might mean you would like to have a nice DINNER out. W could mean you would like to take a WALK later. S might mean meet me later for SEX or HS could add to the suggestion as HOT SEX. Pick a specific day to try your scarlet letter activity and maybe do it once a month so that each of you gets a turn. Remember we are not branding you for sins here. We are creating ways for you to get what you need out of a relationship.
Relationships are give and take and it is unlikely that anyone truly wants to be on only the giving side. So start planning now what letter you will pick first. Will it be I, E, O, or U? Wait a second - I feel like I am stuck in a version of Wheel of Fortune. Quick buy a vowel and spin again.
One word of caution - make sure each of you knows what the letters stand for. Don't assume that your partner will know what that BJ stands for because you might end up with a BOWL of JELLO.

Watch the Young Kids

Do you ever feel like your getting old! I don't me individually I mean as a couple. Do you still hold hands when you are walking someplace. Do you call each other several times a day. Do you kiss often. Well if you think your relationship is getting old. All you have to do to rekindle part of it is watch some kids. Go to the movies and watch the teenagers that are on a date. See how they act toward each other. You can go anywhere, that teenagers go on dates to find out what is missing in your relationship.

Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of taking kids to practice, getting ready for work, making dinner, we lose site of why we started this relationship in the first place. That being the attraction that brought you together. So slow down a little or set sometime aside to act like teenagers again, I am sure you will be glad you did. Just make sure to have your date home by 10pm.
