Make love your religion

There is an old song I believe by Ziggy Marley that states "Love is my religion" I personally think that is a wonderful statement. I am not here to bash anyone's religion but today so many of them are not what was originally intended. Big business has effected our religion and I truly believe that love is the greatest and safest religion. Putting effort and extra energy into your love can only bring you more happiness and joy. Plus you are not judged like you are in most religions today. My religion manifests in the love I have for my partner and our family and that is my safe haven. Many religions have some great messages to deliver but in the process someone has taken those messages and twisted them into orders and demands of people. I want to send love out and that is how I am spiritual. I am not telling you to stop believing in what you believe but I am asking you to step back and really look at what is best for your relationship and your life. Dig deep and find the real meanings to your religion and then put them into your love.

Use a long drive for deep talks.

Long drives are normally tiring and boring for everyone, especially the one doing the driving. As a couple you can help each other out by saving some deep conversations for your drive. Be it that you are going on vacation or just have a long drive ahead of you. A great conversation not only keeps the driver alert but it also makes the trip seem shorter. If you are the one not driving make sure to bring up subjects that are interesting and fun to talk about for your partner. Ask for their opinion on things and see if you can hit a passionate nerve for them to speak about. The meaning of life, desires for the future, past experiences are just a few things you can start conversations about. As you get into deep conversation the miles seem to pass quite faster and you might even reach your destination a little more refreshed then you would have imagined. If you two are alone in the car it is a great time to talk about your relationship. Don't talk about things that anger you, we don't want a fight on our drive, but the good things in your relationship. Praise your partner as you proceed on your drive. We so often don't tell our partner how good they make us feel and this is a wonderful time to do it. Touch the drivers arm or leg from time to time to give that human touch that is so important and also stimulates their feeling of being loved. Switch drivers when needed but try to keep the conversation going. Nothing makes a drive longer then when everyone is asleep and the driver has nothing to do besides focus on driving. The road becomes longer, and the driver becomes uncomfortable and itching for some human interaction. Music and food can help but it is not near as fun or exciting as that wonderful conversation the two of you could be having.

Study something romantic.

When we get away from our norm we can expand our thinking and your way of life. That is why I suggest picking up reading from time to time to learn about different ways of live. I suggest something from another culture that has to do with spirituality or love. For some that might be the Karma Sutra, or Tantric things while others might look for something a little less sexual. Maybe you want to understand why other cultures worship or hold sacred things like cattle or temples. Find out what turns you on (in reading that is) and study it, try to get a understanding of the subject. You don't have to change your feelings or beliefs but a little understanding goes a long way.

Right now I am learning and reading about Huna which is using knowledge from the Hawaiian culture to benefit your existence. I have picked up several interesting bits of knowledge and am becoming fascinated with the subject. To me it is eerie at how close it is to the Law of Attraction or The Secret for the more modern term. Hawaii was pretty much alone and had no influence from the outside world for a long time. To me Huna fells pure and natural and focuses on the moment your are in. There is no looking back or worry about the future you only control your present. Sorry I am beginning to ramble but you get my point and you can see how important learning can be plus it is something fun to share with your partner when you run out of things to talk about.

My partner and I have several long and great conversations about things we study. I can honestly say that I don't want to ever stop learning or conversing with my partner.

Here is the book I am currently reading check it out!!

Send a late night email expressing your feelings or fears.

Sometimes it is hard to just bring up something that has had deep meaning in your life. It might be something from you childhood or maybe even something that your partner has done the hurt your feelings. You want to express your total feelings without being interrupted before you get your whole point across. This is where the magic thing we call email is a benefit. Find some time when you are alone and construct your message to your partner, opening up your feelings and letting your emotions come out in the email. Send it to them and say nothing, never ask if they got the email, just wait for a reply either in person or by return email. Sure, face to face talking is always the best but sometimes if you might be embarrassed or scared to tell them how you feel. Most likely your partner will understand your feelings and then you have now opened up the lines of communication and found another way to communicate with the person you love.

Is a kiss just a kiss?

When you kiss your partner good bye or hello is it just a greeting or more than that? After all you don't kiss everyone hello or goodbye do you? Aside from you kids or your parents that usually doesn't happen. So, I ask again is a kiss more than we give it credit for. Is it the passing of breath between two lovers? Is it exchanging life force or your inner light? We might never know why a kiss is so important. The tingling lips the moister in the act causes me to believe that is a sharing in some sort of way. You can even tell your partners feelings in their kiss, by the pressure or the force behind it. Heck you can even tell if they are mad at you by their kiss. Maybe if we put more focus on each kiss we share with our partner we might start to become closer then ever before. Some people say that kissing is foreplay and I agree but I think it is so much more deeper that that. I think it is two being one and the sharing of desires and passions and of space. Most people don't think about kissing in this manner but next time you kiss your partner really see if you can feel what they are feeling, then look deep in their eyes telling them you love them.

Discussing thing in a deeper Manner.

Do you know your partners views on life and death, what about their religious beliefs or feelings? Do they believe in evolution, or what about bigfoot, the loch ness monster, or aliens? How do they feel about dreams and their spirit? Most people I hope feel comfortable enough with their partners to let them know how they feel about these things. However, still several do not for fear of having a different opinion then the one they love. After all how could two people stay together is one believes in bigfoot and the other thinks it is just a guy in an ape suite? I joke but their is a lot of passion in discussing your believes no matter what they are on. The wonderful part about it is most likely we will never know the correct answers as long as we are on earth. We can have different views on what happens after death because we don't know for sure. The important thing is to discuss these feelings, explain them to your lover, and listen without judging to their views. This is a great way to get closer, excepting their side and their feelings will make you understand them a little better. This got started last night on our drive home from the John Edwards -Psychic Medium show we attended last night. My partner has very deep and thought out views on spirituality and I love to hear her explain them. The wonderful part about her is that she will listen to my views or won't laugh at my questions. I love these deep conversations with her we have been having them a lot lately and they have my mind thinking about things that I didn't even realize would have impact on my life. The point of all this is get to know your partner a little better and you don't have to agree 100% with them but it is nice to hear their feelings and passion about them.

Special Note to my partner if you are reading this - "Thank you for the wonderful conversations we have, I love hearing your views and passions. Don't ever stop explaining your feelings to me. I love you"

Want a fun and romantic way to improve your relationship?

How long has it been since you looked deep into your partners eyes? Most people probably can't remember how long it has been. Well tonight do me a favor and stare deep into your partners eyes. While you are doing thing breath in their breath as they exhale. Some of the tantric practices state that this exercise helps to bring two partners closer together. I personally believe that not only does this bring you closer together but it also it a great way for the two of you to start your day. So often we just rush out the door, give each other a little peck on the check and don't see each other until the end of the day. Wake up 5 minutes earlier and breath with each other, heck you don't even have to get out of bed if you don't want to (Unless the morning breath is to strong, LOL) but seriously set some time aside to practices this eye gazing and breathing. You can feel so much through looking deep into someones eyes and taking in their breath is a great way to become part of them.
