Study something romantic.

When we get away from our norm we can expand our thinking and your way of life. That is why I suggest picking up reading from time to time to learn about different ways of live. I suggest something from another culture that has to do with spirituality or love. For some that might be the Karma Sutra, or Tantric things while others might look for something a little less sexual. Maybe you want to understand why other cultures worship or hold sacred things like cattle or temples. Find out what turns you on (in reading that is) and study it, try to get a understanding of the subject. You don't have to change your feelings or beliefs but a little understanding goes a long way.

Right now I am learning and reading about Huna which is using knowledge from the Hawaiian culture to benefit your existence. I have picked up several interesting bits of knowledge and am becoming fascinated with the subject. To me it is eerie at how close it is to the Law of Attraction or The Secret for the more modern term. Hawaii was pretty much alone and had no influence from the outside world for a long time. To me Huna fells pure and natural and focuses on the moment your are in. There is no looking back or worry about the future you only control your present. Sorry I am beginning to ramble but you get my point and you can see how important learning can be plus it is something fun to share with your partner when you run out of things to talk about.

My partner and I have several long and great conversations about things we study. I can honestly say that I don't want to ever stop learning or conversing with my partner.

Here is the book I am currently reading check it out!!

Breath in Each other.

There are many forms of breathing exercises, yet most of them involve only one person. Tantric practices encourage couples to find ways to become one and breathing together is one of those. It is believed that for a couple to get on the same plane that their breathing should be able to match each other. Lay in bed and try to breath at the say time, Place your hand on your partners chest and let them place their hand our yours. Then let you chest rise and fall and try to get in sync with each other so that you are in harmony. I enjoy doing this in a different manner, I like to start in a soul gazing position. We both stand facing each other and look deep into each others eyes, trying to see inside their soul. Then I like to begin the breathing and trying to get our breath in sync. In this I feel we are breathing the same air, thus bringing in the same outside forces into our bodies. This is a great way to end your night, before bed time and as a last good night sentiment between the two of you. You can also do it in the morning when you get up, just make sure both of you are okay with morning breath or can quickly brush before hand.

Is a kiss just a kiss?

When you kiss your partner good bye or hello is it just a greeting or more than that? After all you don't kiss everyone hello or goodbye do you? Aside from you kids or your parents that usually doesn't happen. So, I ask again is a kiss more than we give it credit for. Is it the passing of breath between two lovers? Is it exchanging life force or your inner light? We might never know why a kiss is so important. The tingling lips the moister in the act causes me to believe that is a sharing in some sort of way. You can even tell your partners feelings in their kiss, by the pressure or the force behind it. Heck you can even tell if they are mad at you by their kiss. Maybe if we put more focus on each kiss we share with our partner we might start to become closer then ever before. Some people say that kissing is foreplay and I agree but I think it is so much more deeper that that. I think it is two being one and the sharing of desires and passions and of space. Most people don't think about kissing in this manner but next time you kiss your partner really see if you can feel what they are feeling, then look deep in their eyes telling them you love them.

Helping Hands! (Click here to find ways to help others)

It's time to take some action. Hopefully your relationship is strong and if not, it's time to put that aside for a bit and help someone else. If you look around, I am sure you can find someone not far from you that needs help. The older woman down the street that can't mow her yard very well, the family where both parents are unemployed, or maybe it's just your grandmother that can’t get out to the store very easy. I am sure when you start thinking about it there are several people around you that could use a boost up. Sometimes helping someone else is the best way to help ourselves.

My wife has told me several times about how lucky we are compared to some of the other couples she runs into. I agree with her. Sure there are a lot of things we would like to have, but we don't need them. Go out and do something for someone else with no expectations of a return. I think they call them random acts of kindness. Help someone load his/her groceries in to the car, stop and help someone with a flat tire, clean out your closet and donate all the clothes that you don't wear to charity. If you really think about it, we have an over abundance and it might even seem to others as if we are very rich when we see ourselves as unfortunate.

How can this help my relationship you might ask? Well if you’re asking that question, maybe you’re not ready to complete this activity. You should get a great sense of pride helping other people. That is the reward. Put that into a situation where both of you work together to help someone and you both get that feeling. Sharing that feeling with your partner is worth more money than you could ever make. I would love to hear about the two of you and how you helped someone out, so don't be shy. Share your stories with us.

Let's Dance (Click here to learn more about the health benifits of dance.)

When is the last time the two of you went dancing. Well I know, my wife and I have all the excusses. We can't find a sitter, we don't want to be out late, we don't like the bar scene, we could go on and on. Well you don't have to go out to dance. Today I want you to take this challenge. When you and your partner are together tonight put on some of your favorite music and get up and dance. The type of dance doesn't matter if you are a silly couple dance like a monkey, if your a couple well trained in the dance do a tango, but no matter what for you last dance make it a slow one. Pick a song where you can slow dance and get closes and just sway together. This makes the heart swoon.

Smootch Time!

One of the most anticipated events in our relationships is the first kiss. So how come that excitement doesn't linger when we are on our 2,765th kiss. Here is my take, in the begining we do not expect the kiss, we want it but we don't take it for granted. Now after we are comfortable and we get into a routine, kissing loses it's thrill. We all know the out the door kiss, that we do everyday as we are leaving for work. Well I think we can break this mold and get kissing back to a passionate event.

Next time you and your partner are together sit down and write down 3 times of the day. Take turns picking and make them random. Then as they say in the spy movies synchronize your watches and at each of those times the both of you are to meet at a designated area and share a passonate kiss. I think you will find yourself watching the clock a litte and hopefully getting a little excited about Smootch Time! See if your actions are a little different as the time gets closer are you figiting a little in your chair, are you looking for a breath mint, or are you daydreaming about the up coming kiss. It's okay build up some anticipation it's good for your relationship.

By clicking on the title line you will be taken to The Art of Kissing website for a little more information on kissing.

Now loosen up those lips and get ready to kiss.

Have an Eggcellent Day!

Tommorrow is easter, not your usual romantic holiday. However with a little thinking you can become the easter bunny yourself. Go to the store and purchase some of those cheap plastic eggs, they might cost you a dollar. Now take them home and find things to put in them that will really tell your partner you love them. Some examples might be little love notes, the sexy underwear you like, a little tube of massage oil, their favorite candy, sports tickets, or even jewlery. Now hide those eggs in the your room and when your partner comes back tell them the you just saw the easter bunny and that they must find all the eggs. It never fails to get you back into your childhood looking for easter eggs. When your partner finds all the eggs they will be most thankful once they start opening them.

For a little more sexy easter you might get some easter egg stickers and stick them on your body and let your partner find them! Ladies you might stick a little cotton ball on the back of your panties and parade around your man so that he realy thinks your the easter bunny.

Click the title line about for a little Easter Egg Action.

Happy Easter everyone! Now get hoppin'

Sharing Your Passions

Sharing your Passions

As you search for an identity as a couple you need to find something that you both can be passionate about. Something you can share and look forward to doing together. I would suggest finding something new for both of you. Your current hobbies are probably already set, and trying to share them might make them a little less appealing For instance, if you have been jogging for years and do about 10 miles each time and you try to get your loved to join you, he/she may not be able to keep up and that would not only dampen your fitness routine, but stress your partner. Explaining every little detail of your hobby to someone who knows nothing about it can get a little intense when you are trying to enjoy it. So the best answer is to find something new to both of you and dive in.

The idea is simple, but the search is on. Trying to find something that appeals to both of you is the challege. Take out some paper and each of you write down some things you always wanted to try or participate in. Do this individually of each other so you are unlikely to "steal" one another's ideas. Once both of you have completed a substantial list, compare the two lists. Look for similar things. Those may not be the exactly the same, but look for similarities so that you can compromise. For example, you might have cycling on your list, while he/she has exercise on his/hers. Ta da! Grab your bikes, and find some trails. His/her list might say he/she would love to try wine tasting, and his/hers might say that he/she would love to just hit the open road and drive. Presto! You hop in the car and fine some wineries (just make sure not to drive while under the influence). I have offered you ways to combine/compromise. This is a great exercise for couples and getting in them mind set of sharing things more.

Here are a couple more examples. He/she would love to work with animals and his/her partner might like to do some voulunteer work. Bing bang, boom. You both find time to voulunteer at the local animal shelter together. Okay I'm gonna one more example. He/she wants to start a blog and his/her partner wants to learn potography. Shazam. You start a blog together. The photography buff takes the pictures while the computer guru posts the comments. Then you sit around and drink coffee and read your blog together. I hope everyone is getting the point. All you have to do is find a way to combine your interests into something you both can enjoy. If you can't find anything else, pick two rival sporting teams and every time they play make it a big deal to heckle each others team - as long as it remains all in fun. Hey you could put a little wager on the game like the loser has to do the dishes for the rest of the week, and of course, you can even get a little naughty with your bet. It's okay after all you are a couple.
