Monday Morning Blues!

Monday's always seem to bring about the blues. Maybe it is back to work or the fact that the weekend is over, but Monday just gets a bum rap. In our relationships Monday is the day that is least likely to have anything special going on. Why don't we try to spice Monday up a little and get your week started right. Plan things for Monday that might make this day zoom by a little quicker. Maybe you start going out to dinner on Mondays. Monday would be a great date night because there wouldn't be as long of lines at the restaurants, the movies or other entertainment venues. That could give you something to look forward to on Mondays. Get up a little early and start your week out with a little morning sex to get the ball rolling. The excitement will make your day start out with a bang instead of a blah. Whatever your tastes you can dress your Mondays up a little thus making the week and your relationship start out on a better note.

Throw in the hat when you want to avoid the "What do you want to do" blues

Okay it is time for the two of you to get out and have some alone time. You set down to decide where your date night will take you then you hear those dreaded words and make your cringe, "What do you want to do?" and the most typical response is "I don't know what do you want to do?" This can go on for hours, and when someone finally makes a suggestion the other person usually shoots it down. Well here is a fun and exciting way to take the "What do you want to do" out of your dating plans. Write down all the places you like to eat, activities you like to do, and even the odd things you do every once in a while. Then cut out each idea and throw them into a hat. Keep the hat in a safe place and now every time you get a chance to get out draw a piece for paper from the hat, presto that is what you are going to do. You can put anything into the hat and if you want to make a couple of hats up. One with places to eat and another for activities to do after you eat. Every time you think of a new place to go or something new to do throw it in the hat. The more ideas in the hat the less bored you will get. You can throw the idea back into the hat if you wish but I suggest keeping it out for the new time you draw. Now instead of saying "what do you want to do?" you will save all that time and be able to spend more of it enjoying each other.

Gift Card Yourselves!

We sometimes lose sight of our relationship during last minutes before Christmas. We are thinking of everyone else we care about and sometimes our relationships get pushed to the back behind the family gatherings and parties. To make sure you make up for these missed times during your holiday season, make it a point to purchase a gift card to someplace every time you have to attend one of these functions. This way you know that when the holidays are over you will have more of a reason to go to the places you have gift cards for. Places like restaurants, movie theaters, or even miniature golf. Keep the cards in sight and you will defiantly use them in the up coming months. This way not only do you give yourself a little Christmas Cheer but you also get to catch up on the time you are missing with your special person.

Dates don't always mean you will be alone!

When you get a chance to go on a date with your partner you need to think about it a little before you head out. First of all are you wanting to be alone during the date. If you are want to only focus on each other then you need to avoid places that you might run into people you know. For instance if you choose to go bowling you might run into some friends there and end up spending your date with several people. If you want to be alone then pick places that will let you be away from others. Places such as restaurants where you get your own table and people just can't walk up to you at any point and time, plus they will have their own table to enjoy. Once you have made your decision as to which type of date you want you will be better prepared for the evening. If you decide to go someplace where the public frequents be prepared to run into someone you know. If this does happen then don't shy away from the other people, you don't want to look like snobs. The other night I was at our local bowling center and a young couple came in to get an alley and several of their friends came running up asking them to come bowl with them. The young lady said no lets get our own lane, and while everyone knew they were on a date, it still seemed like a snub to the others. So if you want to be alone on our date go someone place where you can be alone, but don't hold it against your friends if you go to a place that several people frequent it's just not fair to either of you.

Take advantage of 2 for meals

A great way to enjoy a evening out without breaking the bank is to take advantage of the current craze of the all inclusive meals. Several restaurants around are offering a complete meal for $20. Now that is a value for a night out. Now of coarse any drinks are extra, but recently my wife and I went to Chili's and we quite surprised at what we got for $20. We went away feeling full and had enough food left over to eat it for supper that night. Some of the other we went to had scaled down versions of their meals but not Chili's these were full portions. I almost felt kinda guilty getting our meal for this amount. Needless to say we were please and will return to try something different. Not only to toot Chili's horn but you need to look around and check out the specials if it works for you why not save a little money, if you feel bad leave a huge tip like I did.

Click on the title of this post to go to Chili's web site to see what they offer on their $20 special.

A great place for a date.

When we think about dating we usually think of hitting the hot spots. The night clubs that are jumping or the new fad places that every one is attending. If you in a relationship or really wanting to get to know this person, why would you want to go to a place that has music playing so loud that you can't even hear yourself, let alone the person your with. Sure if you want to go out dancing this is a great place, but if your focus is getting to know someone or spending some quality time with them then this is not the place. What you need to find is a quiet little bar or restaurant where you can sit and have a great conversation. Maybe they might have some televisions on for people to watch, as long as they are not blaring. There are many of these places around that you can just relax and enjoy your conversation and time with your special someone. If a bar is not what you had in mind you could look for places such as coffee shops, book stores, or even internet cafes. All of which give you a chance to hear and be heard. Look for places the two of you can call your own, don't pick a place that has no business, as it might not be there next week. Pick a place that has a steady flow of people but isn't crammed. Think of places that might have out door seating for the warmer times of the year. Remember that you want you partner to focus on you during this time and vice versa so don't pick places with to much going on it will only end up biting you in the end.
