Nature Lovers - A Special Ceremony For The Two of You

Recently Rob and I drove from Colorado to Montana (to the west side of Glacier National Park...almost to Canada) so I could perform the wedding ceremony for two of my dearest friends.

They are huge nature lovers!  Therefore, I thought I would share this Intimate Adventure that I wrote a couple of years back in honor of them and their love (for each other and for nature).

Intimate Adventures are sacred ceremonies for couples. They take ordinary life and make them special. Allowing both partners to enjoy the connection they share. With the vision of creating a warm and wonderful spot of couples to journey together Intimate Adventures offers these suggestions of ceremonies for the two of you to enjoy.

Nature Lovers is a way to bring the beauty and power of nature into your relationship. With each falling leave we learn,
with each rock we find adventure. Our relationship is nature so why do we not invite nature into our relationship.

Tickle Your Toes

We go through our daily lives far too often stuck in a concrete, paved lifestyle.  We often get so busy that we miss out on the chance to simply feel the soft earth massaging the bottoms of our feet and the grass tickling us between our toes.  Grab your lover...head outside (wherever you need to) and take off your shoes for a little stroll upon our Mother Earth.  You, your sweet and Earth deserve the attention!

Get busy. Get spiritual. Laugh your ass off!

The Key to Your Heart & Soul

We can't turn back time and undo the things that we have done or that have been done to us.  But, if we lock the door to our heart and to our soul and throw away the key, we can't continue growing either.
Pick up your key, insert it into the lock, turn it, and slowly and gently open the door.
Reach out your hand to the world, the future that you have yet to hold.
If need be, simply peek out the door.  When you are ready take those first few steps and see just what possibilities, what opportunities are waiting for you.
Just opening the door will allow fresh air to flow into your heart and soul.
Is it frightening?  To some - very much so.
Is it worth it?  YES!

5 Minutes a Day to Change Your Life!

You can change your experience simply by giving yourself five minutes a day.

Sit up tall.
Close your eyes.
Place a half smile on your face (no matter how you feel).
Focus on your breathing.
Consciously relax the muscles in your face.
Relax the muscles in your neck and shoulders.
Relax your stomach.
Relax your arms and hands.
Melt into your legs.
Melt into the floor.

Take a final deep breath and release it slowly.
Slowly open your eyes and come back to yourself.

Taking care of YOU ultimately takes care of your relationship and family too!

Needing a lift? Spend some time in nature.

Time can get away from you in the bustle of everyday life. You find that your time flies out the window at times and that you don't seem to get half of what you want done. Although you are busy you might seem unsatisfied with what you have done. When this happens to you that is when you need to get in touch with nature. Take your partner by the hand and dedicate an amount of time (at least an hour) to spending time outside together just enjoying nature. Take a walk in the woods, go sit together by a stream, or just go sit under the shade of a grand old tree. Hold hands and enjoy the fresh air, the simple sounds of nature, and the companionship your have before you. Soon you might find all the cares in your life are not as important as you though before. Keep the busy part of your life out of your head as you focus on watching nature, the touch of your partner, and the slowness of the time passing. Needless to say you should feel recharged and have gotten your priorities back in line. Which in turn will help you deal with your everyday life in a much better fashion. Personally it make the time slow down for me, even as I come back to my computer to work. The pace seem less stressful and things seem to flow a lot better. In that manner I feel that nature has helped all the aspects of my life and I am most appreciative of that.

Easter is a time of renewal.

Easter if you are a religious person marks the returning of Jesus. If you are not then easter marks the returning of life in the form of flowers, and plants. Which ever you believe make it a point to renew you love on easter. Get out and enjoy the warm weather and the purity that is nature with each other. Breath in the fresh air and breath fresh life into your relationship. Sit down and think for a minute about why you fell in love with your mate, are those qualities still there. If you say no then you might need to look a little deeper. People do change over time so maybe there is something new that you are thankful for in your partner. Don't let your love slip away from you, it is time to put focus back into your relationship. Things outside are starting to spring back to life and your relationship if not it them best shape should take a note from nature and revive it's self. Show this post your your partner and let them get their own take on it and then together sit down and list the qualities that you love about your partner on a piece of paper. Then exchange them and see what you think about each other. This is a great exercise to keep your relationship strong and vibrant. Do not put down anything negative as we want to focus on the positive. List personalty traits, their physical apprearance, as well as the great things they do for you and the community. What your partner swell with pride as the read the great things that you think about them. Easter again is a time for renewal so take the time to renew your feelings about the person you love the most.

Rainy Day - Great time to snuggle down

I don't know about everyone else, but a rainy day seems to turn me on. I enjoy hearing the rain as a backdrop for a romantic evening with my wife. The rhythmic sounds against our roof, gives me a since of calm and safety. It really gets me in the mood for love. I have to say I believe that my favorite time to be intimate is when it is raining. How can you not think rain is sexy? So many movies use the kiss in a warm summers rain, and it never fails to be a hot scene. With the clothes clinging to the couple and all their attention focused on each other. They don't even notice it's raining.

I also enjoy the thunder and lightning during intimate times. It makes you seem so much closer to your partner, never knowing when the booms and crashes will come. The storms strobe light, lights up your room from time to time. Now that is sexy. Now we can't predict when it's going to rain but we can set the mood, if that is what you like. They have recordings of rain storms that you can play in the background. I have also seen a video with the flash of lightning that crashes across the screen from time to time.

To me it seems like the violence of nature is soothed away by passion. A metaphor for a passionate night of sex. Think about it the storm creeps in slowly. Then before you know it thunder and lightning are all around you. At last peace comes back and calm covers the area that has just been cleansed. Sound like a night filled with passion to me!
