Don't forget to say thanks.

Thanks for cleaning the kitchen honey, let me show you how much I appreciate it.

Being in a relationship is great for the simple fact that there are two of you to get things done. You partner can do things for you when you are unable and vice versa. You can even ask them to do things when they have time and they are usually going to do them for you. Love is funny in that manner. The problem arises when these helpful things go unnoticed or unappreciated. That is when chores or helpfulness seems more like orders then helping out. Appreciate the things your partner does and don't always take the easy way out and say "Thank You" Do something special for that person and in return you are going to get a lot more help when you need it. Take your partner out to a wonderful dinner after a day of them running errands for the two of you. Pick up the book they have been wanting to read as a token of your appreciation. Offer up a massage at the end of the day and express your appreciation while you make them feel good. My favorite however is to slip into something sexy or fill your bedroom with candle light and find a way orgasmically to thank them. Love is such a special thing and the last thing you want is your partner feeling unappreciated, so make sure to whisper softly in their ear, "Thank You"

A little please goes a long way.

One thing that we take for granted in a relationship is basic manners. Think about it when is the last time you said please and thank you to your partner. Well if you are lacking in this department you need to start focusing on it. Start ending each request of your partner with please, and make sure to thank them when they complete any task that benefits you. Now all of the sudden you are asking for a favor instead of barking out an order. For example check out the difference in these two statements, "Make sure you take the deposit to the bank" or "Could you take this deposit to the bank, please?" Wow what a difference a couple of words can make it can change the whole feeling of the words. Next time you catch yourself falling in this trap just make the adjustment and start adding please and thank you to your requests.

Are you repaying your partners favors?

Do you remember last week when you partner dropped everything to help you out? Did you ever repay that favor? So many times in our busy life we forget to really thank the person we love for helping us out. Maybe it was a massage or taking the kids to give you some quite time. No matter what the favor you need to make the effort to thank them for it. Make your repayment something that they enjoy and wouldn't expect you to do. Maybe cook them their favorite dinner or give them a wonderful massage. Maybe you could find a movie that they have been wanting to watch or wear that lingerie that you have just thrown in the drawer. If you don't repay these favors you might find yourself not getting them in the future. Keep the balance close of the amount of favors you do for each other and neither one of you will ever feel unappreciated. When we do favors we do not expect repayment but it goes without saying that it should be a mandate. Thank them often for being their for you and they always will be.

Appreciation Day

Appreciation is something that we take for granted. Think about it for a minute, how often do you thank your partner for what they do? We all feel like we do so much and the no one can possibly do as much or be as tired as us. Run through your partners day sometime and see how busy their day is. I am sure once you go through everything they do, you will see that their day is just as busy as yours. We need to appreciate their actions and what they do, sure we can sulk and say, "Well they don't appreciate what I do." That however will only lead to neither of your appreciating each other. Break the cycle and give them a big kiss the next time they take out the trash or cook supper. If you have trouble finding something to appreciate them for all you have to do is think of something they do that you don't have to. Things such as chores around the house or doing something for you children maybe it is something as little as letting you sleep in a little. I am sure that once you start looking you will find a great deal of things to appreciate your partner for. Kisses and saying thank you are great ways to show appreciation, if you want to do more you could set up a sexy little evening for your partner, or get them some tickets to their favorite show or sporting event. Taking them out of a wonderful date would be great for any appreciation. Now the next time you want to criticise them about something think about all they do for your relationship and forget that negative thing a focus on a positive one.

A simple touch can mean so much!

Have you ever stopped to thing about how a simple touch can mean so many different things. Where you touch your partner at, how you touch them, the pressure you put into the touch, and your location can all mean different things. Light touches seem to mean soft things like I would like to kiss you, while grabs and hard hugs tend to mean I would like to get a little more physical with your. When you are out to dinner a lite caress on the arm could mean "I am having a really good time" Do you touch your partner in different places depending on what you are looking for? If you partner is cooking supper and you come up behind them and hug them while they are cooking. Could mean a simple, thank you for cooking supper. Rolling over and laying on your partners chest could mean, take me now big boy. Think about it each and every time you touch your partner. What message are you trying to send them, really.

Thank you very much....

You know in a relationship we sometimes start to take each other for granted. You know what I mean you expect your partner to do the things they always do. We forget how special it is when they get us a drink so we don't have to get up, or fix a problem for us just because we asked. We get comfortable and relaxed that are partners are always there for us because they are, always there (well most of the time anyway). Today I want you to make a list of everything your partner does that either helps you out or is just a nice thing to do. Get a little paper to care around with you and jot down when they open the door for you, or start your car on a cold morning. So many of the little things we forget, like getting us out a towel for our morning shower, or downloading a file for us on the computer. Even things like getting the kids dressed or getting them to sleep, while we do something else is a big plus.

Are you starting to see where I am going. We need to thank our partners for not only all of these things but for being the kind sweet person they are. Now I am sure there are times when they don't get something done you wanted them too. For the most part I am sure the good our weighs the bad in a big way. When we started seeing this person we were attracted to them and our passions were high, so how come this passion doesn't get hotter as we spend more time together? This person we love spending time with does so much for the both of us we should celebrate it every night.

I know it is a little bit tough to celebrate every night. Tonight however bring your list to bed and read if off to your partner. Tell them how these things made your day better and then thank them with a great big kiss. Look deep in their eyes when you thank them, so that they know how much you mean it. If you so desire you can thank them even more once the lights go out, I am sure they will be thankful for that!
