Making love for good luck!

There is a very special bond between a couple that they don't share with anyone else. That is the bond of intimacy and this is way more powerful then you can imagine. I cannot get into all the details and studies that show why intimacy between a couple are magical because it would take up all the space we have available. Intimacy between a loving couple is a bond that is can bring enlightenment and power to the couple as an unit. Try this the next time you have something big about to happen the next day. Maybe you are going to an interview or have a big presentation at work and you need to be your best. Well simply make mad passionate love the night before. You partner obviously has to be totally on board for this but it can make all the difference in the world. Here are my feelings on why this is good. I use the term luck in the post but I don't believe that it is luck. I believe by being intimate together you form a bond that makes both of you stronger and you take to battle all the qualities of both of you. I think this energy lasts for about 2 days but it is amazing. Your confidence is better, you feel better, you have an aura of success around you. This is the amazing union two people can create. Plus the feeling is unbeatable. Try this next time you need things to go your way and see just how much it makes a difference. I will talk more about this topic later because it is becoming a passion within our relationship.

Get in touch with your body before you try to get in touch with your partners.

Our bodies give us so much information that we don't take seriously at many times. I am sure you have heard the expressions, "Women's Intuition" or "Gut reaction" these are way our body tries to tell us that something is not just right with what we are doing. I have heard stories about men and women that have had such strong reaction to these feelings that it changes there approach. Only to find out later that something bad would have happened had they went the other way. We have to learn to trust our own bodies and then start trusting the feelings our partner gets in the same manner. The two feelings combined will create a wonderful bond for the two of you and you will learn to tell when something doesn't feel right to your partner. Together you can form a tight bond and feel the love that surrounds you.

Pump energy into everything you do together.

One of the best features of being in a relationship is that you always have support. There is always that special person their to pump you up. No matter what you are doing together it should feel like a date. Going to the grocery store, racking leaves, or cooking super should be a chance to enjoy each others company as well as getting chores done. There is a special bond between the two of you and it should create an amazing energy that you both get to enjoy. I know you know a couple that always seem to have fun together. Why not be that couple. The one person that you can count on and love can also be one of your best friends if not your best friend. Using your relationship to energize yourself is a wonderful way to keep that special bond between your partner and you. I know when I am away from my partner it is always a rush when I get to see them again. Use your partner as a spark plug and your relationship will stay vibrant for a long long time.

Change pictures often.

Here is a great way to keep things fresh in your mind and your relationship. Get a few picture frames and set them around the house in specific areas, where they will be viewed often. Then place just a regular picture of in them. Now comes the fun part pick and time frame, be it a month or a week. Then when that time frame is up go around to all the pictures and change them. Put a different picture in each and every frame. The change of scenery if you will, can make you and your partner do a double take. Once you get this in place your partner will soon be watching closely as it near for the time for the picture change. If this might be to much for you to remember every so often, then get one of those digital picture frames. Then load up a memory card with lots of pictures and put that card in the frame. Then all you have to do is go over and switch the picture being shown on the frame. You can set the digital frame to rotate however if you do this then make sure to load some different pictures onto the frame from time to time. Then you can sit back and enjoy the pictures and the memories of things like vacations, your wedding, birthdays, or just times of relaxation.

Make up your own words to the movie.

Hello I was just cutting back some brush over there and realized it was time for the hockey tryouts, my name is Happy KILLMORE!

Want a fun little think to do together that will get you both laughing. Take a movie you are both familiar with and then turn down the sound and make up words for the people speaking in the movie. Yes, you are doing your own voice overs. Make it as silly as possible but try to keep it going as long as you can. Laughing and being silly together is a great exercise to perform to keep your relationship strong and close. Make it suggestive if you want to be a little intimate during the evening. Heck include your children for a more dramatic evening. Teaching your kids that it's okay for their parents to have fun and laugh together is a wonderful way to start them out right for when they have a relationship. What ever the genre of the movie you pick make sure to make your voiceovers as far from that genre as possible. For instance if you pick a western cowboy movie then make the voiceovers of inner city rappers, or if the movie is romantic then make it flow like the three stooges. You can only imagine the fun you can have with these. It might just become a tradition in your house.

"Sex is the glue that holds a relationship together"

"Sex is the glue that holds a relationship together" is a quote I heard on the podcast The Marital Intimacy Show that you can pick up on itunes. I agree whole heartily with this statement. There are so may aspects to our relationships but certain areas seem to help stabilize our relationship. Things like trust, care, concern are all very important in a relationship. However if you are in a committed relationship sex is the aspect that you don't share with anyone but your partner, these other factors you can experience with others that you have contact with such as friends and family. Heck you can even have trust, care and concern for your boss for peat sake. Sex however is the one thing that you save only for your relationship (I don't mean to offend those with alternative lifestyles, but my understanding is you have a relationship with each and every person involved in your life style) When you thing about it then the more glue you put on something the stronger the hold so it stands to reason that the better your sex life the better your relationship. As a matter of fact of all the people that I consider as having a great relationship the one thing that they have in common is a great sex life. It goes hand in hand. So, put some glue into your relationship today.

Too Tired For Your Partner?

I see it so many times -- people are stretched so thin.  They volunteer for everything and have nothing left for the people they love - especially their partners.

If you are too tired to enjoy your relationship when you and your partner have time to be together, then it is time you reevaluate what you are doing. Do you volunteer for the PTO or coach every thing under the sun?  Do you play softball all summer long or have to be involved in every fundraiser in the community? Do you find yourself telling your partner that you are too tired to stay up with him/her during the evening or that you just need to relax and chill during your time together?  If this happens time and again, you seriously need to view this from your partner's perspective.

How do you think your partner feels if he/she asks you to watch a movie with him/her and you tell him/her you just need some sleep.   Yet, the three nights before you were out raising funds for the humane society, playing a softball game, and attending a committee meeting.  What about passing on a night of intimacy because you have to get up early the next morning to play golf with your friends? These are the type of events that can really hurt a relationship.  Nothing is wrong with doing any of these things, but when you can't make time for your relationship because of them you are not only affecting your partner, but your relationship as a whole.

I am assuming that the two of you are together because you love each other.  With that bond comes the respect that you owe to each other.  Do some planning and figure out the best times for the two of you and then don't let things get in the way of your love.  If you are repeatedly too tired to be with your partner, what you are really saying to him/her is, "Our relationship comes after all these other things I am doing."  Don't be that person.  Put stock in your relationship and move it up on your priority list.  You will be amazed at the difference this can make.

Staying up Late

You know when you become a couple and you get into your routine sometimes staying up late is not in your relationship. I think you are missing out on several great opportunities by not staying up late. For instance some of the best conversations are held during times when you both would be up later then anyone else. These conversations get deep and bring a couple close and they can be about anything. You can also find some great old movies on during these late nights. Spend the time cuddling or make yourselves some drinks and snacks. If you have children this might be the only way you can get some adult alone time together to talk about things other then cartoons or toys. Another advantage to staying up late is it usually leads to sleeping in together again if you have no children present.

I feel that when you stay up late together you create such a bond. It's like you are the only two people in the world as you talk and rekindle your relationship. I have never had a problem staying up late but I understand some people do. If you are one of these people and know you are going to spend the evening with your partner alone. Take a nap, sometime during the day, because you don't want to miss a chance and having a great night with your lover.
